How to unlock the Brown Belt achievement in Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues - Definitive Guide
I want to preface this by saying I HIGHLY recommend making a checklist of all challenges on all belts that you can refer back to outside the dojo. If you're going for a full completion, you'll end up replaying most levels to get S rank for a collectible anyway, but keeping a reference handy will cut down on additional run throughs.
Karate Challenges are specific goals that, as you complete them, will give you coins towards upgrading your characters. At the end of each level, you'll be taken back to your dojo where you can check on your progress and claim any finished challenges.
If you play through both campaigns on a single save, any progress from the first campaign will transfer over to the second campaign. Each challenge for this belt also has a corresponding achievement that will unlock as you meet the Challenge requirement. The list of challenges for this belt are as follows:
Frenemies - Finish Demetri with Hawk or vice-versa
I'm Coming for You, B - Finish Tory with Sam or vice-versa
No Mercy - Finish Robby with Miguel or vice-versa
This.. We Aren't Done - Finish Johnny with Daniel or vice-versa
(Each rival dojo member is the final boss of a specific level:
- Demetri/Hawk > Shopping Mall
- Tory/Sam > West Valley High School
- Robby/Miguel > All Valley Tournament Arena
- Johnny/Daniel > Valley Fest
You can work on each boss with any character you'd like, but the finishing blow must be with the rival character. If by chance the character you need dies, you can allow the rest of your dojo members be knocked out as well. Once all four are taken out, you will have the option to Replay from Checkpoint, which will start you immediately before the boss fight. If you defeat the boss with the wrong character, you'll have to replay the full level. On top of this, the final level on your first dojo play through can only be attempted once as the first play through will lock out once the Valley Fest boss is defeated. Not difficult, but it is easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment. As mentioned, when you complete these Challenges, you will also get their corresponding achievement:)
