At 81% you'll find the entrance to the next moon ancestor after entering the green world after firing into it with the white orb. use two of the moving walk ways, then stop and look north of the next portal.

I fluked my way into the correct order, but now that I'm here, I see that the black orbs is totally the intended way for players to figure this out.
I think they game also put in a musical cue when you get it wrong, which corresponds to the sounds the prisms make when they're struck by the energy ball.
Also: I wonder if the name 'Cryptographer' [a person dealing with codes] is meant to evoke the fact that the order of the prisms' activation is similar to the old Konami Code. The Konami code was 'up up down down, left right left right B A select start' In essence, in term of directions, the Konami Code was Up Down Left Right.

Cocoon has 11 total collectibles known as Moon Ancestors. These can be acquired as you play through the game, or easily mopped up using chapter select once you finish the story. They are most often hidden just off the main path; may involve a small and simple puzzle, and are unlocked with an interaction.
This can be a little involved, but you'll have to combine the white orb turret with the green orb in the portal to make progress. You'll go across a gap using a platform, and instead of using the turret to shoot down once needed, bring the white orb into the green world with you. Go up and to the right to reveal a secret path and shoot the prisms in the correct order; up, down, left, right.

This Moon Ancestor can be found at the 81% mark.
This checkpoint starts you at a point with the green and white orbs, and a bunch of gun locations around a warp pool. Proceed like normal, placing the green orb on the pool to open the green world. Do the first two moving platforms by first placing the white orb on the right side to shoot left into the green world, then on the left side to shoot right into the green world. When you reach the third platform in the green world, before proceeding by putting the white orb on top and making it shoot down, take the white orb into the green world with you. Head up and right through the gap in the rocks, and continue up and right to a circular area. Found diamond prisms will pop out to shoot. You need to shoot them in the correct order, which is indicated by the number of little rock plants next to them. Start with the one that has a single rock plant, then two, etc., until all four are shot. A platform will rise on the right where you can release this Ancestor.
