How to unlock the Burning Spirit achievement in CODE VEIN - Definitive Guide
Inherited gifts can be acquired by maximizing the proficiency of an unlocked gift. There are two ways of doing this:
- You use the acquired gift with its blood code during your playthrough.
- Maximize it by using Awake items, these are scattered throughout the game. Can be dropped by enemies. If you have fully explored a map of the Depths you can see which Awake item is dropped.
Inherited gifts are useful if you want to use a certain gift but are unable to because you're using another blood code (inherited gifts are not tied anymore to its blood code). Especially gifts that enhance your stats!
The best way to earn this achievement is to switch up your blood code as often as possible and equip every gift you purchase. You will eventually have more haze than you know what to do with so you do not have to be frugal with it. You should start working on this immediately until you have all 50. This is because gifts are learned faster when you are defeating enemies close to your level, and there is no way to tell what level enemies are.
There is a decent farming spot for this mid game as well and works well up to character level 90 (at level 150 and it does not work at all so make sure to farm gifts before gaining too many levels). Halfway through the Cathedral of Sacred Blood, you will come across a unique Vestige that will transport you to a past memory. The third mistle of this area, called Main Battlefield, has two female lost nearby that provide a lot of proficiency experience. Simply equip all of the gifts you wish to learn, farm these two, rest at the Mistle and repeat. Below is a video of how to farm them to learn some gifts.
If you have over-leveled yourself and are having trouble learning gifts, you can try searching for players in co-op. Your level will automatically scale to theirs, meaning every enemy will give plenty of proficiency experience to inherit your gifts.
Gifts are your abilities in Code Vein. You inherit gifts by equipping that blood code, purchasing the gift with haze, equipping that ability to your attack shortcuts, then defeating enemies. You don't ever need to use that ability, just have it equipped while defeating enemies until it is mastered. Once you inherit a gift, it will have a star in the top right and you can equip it while using any blood code. You can also automatically inherit a gift buy purchasing it outright. This requires additional haze and various variants of Awake MJXXX items found throughout the game world.
