Play a puzzle in Normal Mode on Difficult. If you make a mistake, just finish the puzzle. Take a mental note (or write it down) the correct solution to the puzzle. Replay the same puzzle again, ensuring that this time you make no mistakes. Note: this is much easier using a standard USB keyboard. Not only is is much faster, but it seems to reduces the chance of accidently plugging in a wrong letter.
