Go into either game type and start up any puzzle and complete it. The solutions for all puzzles are listed in the above achievements. When in a puzzle, use 
to change from the across to down answer, use 
to erase a letter, use 
to enter into entry mode, and use 
and 
to cycle through the letters.
Alternatively, a USB keyboard can be plugged into your 360, and that can be used for entering letters and such.

This will be the first achievement that you'll get. You should get it pretty quickly if you're decent at crosswords. It would make sense to play on Super Easy level to get this, but I've noticed that all the difficulties are pretty much the same. This is easiest if you use a standard USB keyboard plugged into your 360.
