the tutorials are accessed by pressing the Start icon on the main screen, then pressing the Graduation Cap icon in the top right. at first i was unable to enter the tutorials, getting a message saying "Tutorial is not available with current control settings." go into the settings, which is the Gear icon in the top right on the first screen, then pick either Keyboard or Virtual D-Pad. the tutorials do not work with Accelerometer, Mouse, or Joystick.
Takeoff and Landing is the fourth tutorial of 7. only the first 5 tutorials need to be completed for achievements and they can be done in any order.
this tutorial is very simple and pretty much requires you to takeoff and land once each.

From the "Play" menu, click on the mortar board to go to the tutorials menu. Play through the "Takeoff and Landing" tutorial for this one. It is pretty straightforward and should take no longer than a few minutes. Note that you can only use the keyboard or virtual d-pad for the tutorials.
