How to unlock the Get 6 Blocks With Any Player achievement in College Hoops 2K6 - Definitive Guide
I tried the other strategies, and none worked alone.
I created a 7'6" player with his sliders all the way up. Then I set the my game sliders all the way up and the opponent's down. This still was not enough for me to be successful.
I had to play splitscreen with a friend for it to work. I took my 7'6" player and put him right in front of my friend while he had the ball. Have him count to three and shoot on three, and you block (with Y) at the same time. The ball may go past, you may block the ball completely, or you may just simply tip the ball. Tipping the ball counts as a block. After every 2 or 3 block attempts, check game stats. If your player has 6 blocks, just play out the rest of the game. I hope this helps.

i had a tough time with this i did what was mentioned before but with changes to the rebound sliders giving myself more chances to block, i also played a 10 min half with my rebound sliders all the way down and the AI all the way up. i finished a game of 10 min halfs with one player with 11 blocks and the other with 7 blocks and a few with 3 and 2 etc, if you miss the block on the first shot chances are you get it on the 2nd shot etc. worked for me.

It's easiest to do this achievement by creating your own player and making him 7'6". Turning all of his skill sliders up. Then whenever a member of the opposing team is shooting, hit the Y button. It's a pretty easy achievement.

I ended up using 2 controllers. Move my 7'8" guy infront of the shooter and hit both shoot and block at the same time.

Knowing what to do, this is, without any doubt, the easiest achievement of the game! All you need is a second controler...
So, here are the steps for a failsafe method:
1.Create a player as tall as possible.
2.Start a game with the team you put the tall player against any other team (don't worry about any sliders, that's really not necessary). Let your opponent set in the second controler.
3.Let the other team have the ball.
4.Select the tall player and leave him waiting in the middle of the court.
5.Using the second controler, bring the player holding the ball next to the tall guy. This step matter the most! You need to align the two players perfectly. Use the circles on their feet to guide you. Go ahead with the next step only when you're certain that the players are well aligned.
6.Hold both controlers and press and hold X in the second one at the same time you press Y in the first one. This way the timing to your guy block the throw will be perfect!
7.Repeat steps 5 and 6 at will...
It doesn't matter if the players are out of the 3 points mark. The block still counts. Doing it in the middle of the court avoid others automated players to mess things up.
I was able to perform 8 blocks with the same player in less than 2 minutes. And that's because I screwed up a couple of times with the alignement of the players.
If you're confident and that's the last achievement you need for the game, set the quarter to 1 or 2 minutes lenght. It will be more than enough...

By far this is the best solution if you have two controllers

You can get all the achievements in one game, just do this...
1. turn your sliders all the way up & the cpu all the way down
2. turn all the foul calls off (shooting, reach-in, charging, etc)
3. turn the cpu tendencies to drive 100%
4. set half length anywhere from 7-10 mins

You may not have the same problem I do, but it was very difficult for me to get the timing of the blocks right and I found my AI teammates stealing blocks from me. After two games with maximum half length that ended with 5 blocks each for two players (and a few more for others) I got pretty frustrated. Here's a modification of the two-controller method that worked for me.
Make sure that the gamertag going for the achievement has a team with tall players (either by creation or not) and create a throwaway player who is as short as possible (4'6). Put that player on a bad team; I used Savannah. Then start a game with the second controller playing as the team with the short player. Select the short player and get as close to the basket as you can and shoot. You will be blocked almost every time. If you stand in front of the same player each time, the AI will block for you and you will get six fairly quickly. When the ball is recovered by your primary team, just try for a half court shot. Usually it will either go out of bounds or be recovered by shorty's teammates for the turnover.

This is my first guide ever, so bear with me. As I played a game with my Alma Mater, Temple University, I had no problem finishing a game with my Center having 13 blocks. My Power Foward had 8. Every guide wants you to create a player; unnecessary. Try a little basketball strategy!
I had no problem getting all the achievements in one game, now you can too. I ran a 40min game to be safe, banged out all other achievement criteria, then focused on defense.
You need to run a 2-3 Zone Defense (right on the d-pad for me, but you can find out for sure in defensive plays under coaching in the menu). This play keeps your big men near the basket on defense. So, concurrently, also dial down CPU 3pt and medium-range tendencies, forcing them to shoot close to the basket. When the other team inbounds the ball, run the play. It automatically went back to the default Man Defense for me each time.
Lastly, instead of trying to do this yourself, let the friendly AI handle the timing. Stick to controlling one of the guards at the top of the key. If you're struggling, keep running and gunning to get the ball back to the other team as quickly as possible.
Game smart, not hard.
