Simply heal yourself throughout the course of the game, you will more than likely get this around half-way through the first time.

You will need to be on your last health bar and medicate using two health kits at the same time to regain full health. I did this at the doll factory after being attacked by the creepy exploding dolls.

The second guide is totally wrong, the achievement is not for a single act of healing it’s for healing yourself a given number of times.
I’m not sure the exact number of times required but I was deliberately taking damage so I could heal myself and was able to get this early in level 2, I’d estimate it took about 15 medkits. I was playing on the easiest difficulty which probably made medkits more plentiful.

Single Player. This achievement is for healing yourself for a total of 1000 points of health. You can find health kits in lockers throughout the game. If you play on Hard, you’ll likely unlock this fairly early in the game, especially if you’re not very good at blocking.
