You will need to do this on new game plus. I got this on my third playthrough(probably could have gotten it on 2nd but missed a gun). You do not have to upgrade the golden gun if you have the deluxe/DLC. After fully upgrading all guns, the merchant will have infinite ammo option available for free.
Rifle - Supply Trench, Supply Route
Pump Shotgun - Support Trench, Back Door
Ruby Pistol - Support Trench, Dump
Revolver - Support Trench, Reserve Trench West, need to fire artillery shell to access
Luger - MERCHANT
Machine Gun - Supply Trench, Road Access Chapter 4
Hunting Shotgun Road, Hunting Cabin
Elephant Gun - Merchant
Handcannon - You have to unlock the back door before chapter 4. Return with the fire extinguisher and put out fire to access. Then go back in through the front.
Sweeper - Fort Vaux, Creamatorium
Mustang-11 - Fort Veux, Observation Tower; have to give Gaston a cigarette every chance
Spandau - Use all 3 pronged keys in fort of chapt 6 CAN NOT BE UPGRADED
Grenade Launcher - Final Map, Top
