At first I tried to rush, because I thought that getting ahead of my companions would prevent them from stealing kills from me; turns out I was wrong, because all you have to do is get some kills, then before going out of each screen collect kills from enemies suffering on the ground and wait for other enemies to spawn.
This way I managed to gather more than 10 kills on the first screen alone.
Keep doing this and you'll get it with no problems.
