How to unlock the Familiar Methodologies achievement in Control - Definitive Guide

Story-related, should be unmissable. For me it didn’t unlock until I had defeated Hartman and continued up the elevator to trigger the next objective (in the meantime I had gathered the collectibles in the room so there was a reasonable delay)

I continued up the elevator and nothing. Maybe because I played the arcade game?

Edit: Oh, yeah, sure. The achievement unlocked at the exact time I hit the add comment button. headspin

Pretty sure talking to Langston on the intercom is the trigger. At least it was for me.

Not sure why, but this isn't unlocking for me.

I don't have any trigger to talk to Langston, I've already defeated Hartman. I've tried the above solution/comments already. I've also noticed the collectibles tracker isn't updating either. Seems to be stuck at 82% even though I've got at least 6 more collectibles.

Already tried restarting my console and game.

Any ideas anyone? Is it bugged?

:EDIT:

Ignore me, seems it popped but I didn't get the notification. Collectible tracker for Subterranean Research Achievement is stuck at 82% though.

When activating the elevator, Hartman will stop the progress of going up as you must connect cores to generators to escape the Darkness and Hartman. Once you speak with Langston on the intercom once you power up the light generators, this achievement will unlock.

Weapon form: "Burst": mods: 1. VI explosion boost charge +120%; IV damage to armor from weapons +95%; IV damage boost.
Personal mods: 1. VI Shield strengthening +95%; 2. VI Restoration Health (throwing); 3. V Health recovery +51%
Boss 2-level:
1st level: his energy is not restored, you hit slowly until the generators are cut off, you calmly go under the light and kill those opponents who respawn (in particular, by throwing - I just have this mod: restore Health (throwing); thus the boss can’t reach you and you accumulate health, the excess doesn’t disappear and is lying around on the map; then you install the generator and so on until the boss’s health decreases!
2nd level: constantly use a shield (shield enhancement mod - I had VI, so when it exploded you were under the shield, or when it fired 2 homing shots at you, I used the shield as it released its charges and constantly alternated with weapon ejection and shield while the crop was recharging - used throwing to restore charge for weapons and health, when the boss respawned to you, press “O” acceleration at least 2 times so that he doesn’t grab you, if he grabbed you 2 times "triangle" to hit him in hand-to-hand combat, he will let you go, throw objects at him with the mod - Restore health (throwing) and continue without interruption so that he does not swing his arm and knock out the generators, then his health is not restored, but so simply without a break he used weapons throwing, throwing and hitting with a shield so that he did not have the opportunity to make a swing, that’s all!

Everything is much simpler and can be done in 2 minutes. You need to scatter 4 power units in their places on the floors, then the lights will turn on everywhere and he will run away.

First meeting with Hartman in the room with the elevator. There is no need to fight him, just turn on the generators.

Don't worry if you don't get the trophy right away. It fell out after I took the elevator and spoke through the intercom with Langston.

I fell out after activating three generators that turn on the lights. The first one is located about one o'clock in the afternoon from the elevator; we turn it on with a generator, which falls to the floor right along with the boss that appears. On the right side of the settled platform there will be a tall plywood shelf - you need to tear off a couple of sheets with “Throwing”; several batteries are stacked behind the casing. Directly from the platform, we turn on the generator opposite it (to the right of the elevator and three hours from our original position). We take the third battery, run with it back into the elevator and levitate onto the overpass to the left of the elevator (nine hours from our original position). After this, Hartmann runs into the ventilation.

in fact, you don't even need to connect all the generators. I grabbed the first energy cube, which falls along with the boss, immediately flew to the generator on the left and above, threw the cube and pulled the switch next to it. The spotlights above the entrance to the elevator turned on, driving Hartman into the ventilation. It seems to me that the whole action took about 30 seconds, no more.
