How to unlock the Multiple Applications achievement in Control - Definitive Guide

You'll need to unlock all of launches 6 tiers then choose multi-launch to the right of the 6th tier. It will cost 8* points (which if you have all DLC will require the last 5 hidden points in the AWE DLC and 3 from watching the cut-scene explaining Hartman) or a reset of your abilities to unlock (30,000).

Once purchased use your launch skill (default RB) and pick up 2 additional pieces (default LT). Then with 3 enemies or more look at 3 of them for lock on and fire away. Once all 3 are hit the achievement should unlock.

Multi-Launch costs 8 ability points, not 6. I'm looking at the ability screen now. Otherwise, yes this is correct.

Can this be unlocked in the base game without AWE? I have multi-launch unlocked and I’ve used it to hit three enemy’s at once but it won’t unlock.

@UnunsedKael as far as I am aware, if you do not own a DLC, you will also not have the related achievements available. Some games remember things and achievements would pop once you have the DLC and use it for the first time. Anyway, not sure if Control does that. In the worst case, you’d have to repeat the exercise once you have the DLC. Fortunately this once seems not that difficult ;)

It's better if you do it in a closed off spot. I managed to do it with three enemies having their backs to the wall.

@UnunsedKael I can confirm that Control does save your progress toward this achievement even if you don’t have the DLC and will unlock once you do. It took maybe a couple minutes for the achievement to pop for me after I installed Foundation and AWE.

I did this during the main story line where you are traversing the Ashtray Maze (after you get the walkman from Ahti - mission 8)....towards the end of the maze you will need to levitate to platforms and fight off floating enemies once you land on the platform. On the last platform (believe it is the 3rd one), you will have three floating enemies coming towards you. There are enough items there to hold three at once with your mulit-launch capability...just launch them at the three enemies and achievement unlocked.

Upgrade the launch ability to be able to use multiple, pick up 3 items and launch them at 3 enemies.

Initially, Multi-Launch skill is available as soon as you start the DLC. You need 8 skill points to unlock it. To use it, hold when selecting an object then select two additional objects to launch by pressing . Once you've targeted at least three enemies, release . This move doesn't have to kill them but it must hit them for this to register.

If you have no skill points available, just reset your abilities for 30,000 Source and upgrade all of the Launch skills first to get to this node - Multi-Launch.

We buy a skill for him. You don’t need to download the entire right branch, you just need to get to the main one at the end and buy it for 8 points. Click and three times and make sure to aim at the three enemies and shoot.
