How to unlock the Burger Times achievement in Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! - Definitive Guide
Shift 8 unlocks at Level 18 and Shift 9 unlocks at Level 22.
Shift 8 is the easier of the two shifts here because it includes one side (Side Chilli) and 80% buzz, where as Shift 9 has no sides at all and 90% buzz. So for this reason, I'm going to cover Shift 8 only since you only have to complete one of these to Gold medal standard.
Gold medal means you can't make any mistakes on prepared dishes/chores and you can't let ANYTHING disappear off the left of the screen.
However Shift 8 is still not a pushover, you have 7 holding stations to share between
Main dishes:
Hamburgers
Steak Fingers
Chicken Strips
Hotdog
Plus the Side dish: Side Chilli
As always, it's the two rush hours at 12pm and 6pm which will be the deciding factor in whether you get the gold medal or not.
I dedicated TWO holding stations to the side chilli because despite them having a generous 18 portions per prep of the dish they WILL disappear fast and you need to keep the side chilli available to give you that extra 15 seconds of waiting time they give just for having it available and you WILL need that extra time at all times in this shift.
And then I dedicated the other 5 HS to each of the above main dishes, you will have a spare one leftover to dedicate to one of the main dishes, I opted for Hotdogs since they often get overlooked due to the Hamburgers being prominent in this shift, it's entirely up to you though.
One more thing I did as well was I separated out the Steak fingers and the Chicken Strips due to them looking very similar in the picture ie. I put the Steak fingers in HS2 and the Chicken Strips all the way over at HS6 or HS7 just so I know which one is which.
The shift will be at 80% buzz or more throughout so you need to be pretty fast at the orders throughout. Now the steak fingers and chicken strips will have ticks next to them if you have them prepped so they are not as much as a priority since it only takes one button press to get rid of them, in fact it might be helpful not to get rid of these immediately because otherwise that Prep Station will fill with another order or chore.
Always prioritise the Hamburgers, these are the worst orders in this shift and if you get hit with a lot of them then you might be better off restarting the entire shift.
So when the you get the rush hour warnings 1 hour before they occur, you need to make sure you have your holding stations in top condition, as described above
1 for Hamburger
1 for Hotdog
1 for Chicken Strips
1 for Steak Fingers
2 for Side Chilli
1 for either Hamburger or Hotdog as a back up
When the rush hour hits, all 10 Prep Stations will quickly fill up with either Food orders, Iced Teas or chores.
Hamburgers, Hotdogs and Breakfast Sandwiches take priority and I always worked from top to bottom processing those. LEAVE the Steak fingers and Chicken Strips for as long as possible before completing them since they can be completed with a single button press.
The strategy is to try and make it as easy for yourself as possible, if you keep clearing the orders then it will be replaced with something else immediately during rush hour, it's best to leave as many easy things there as possible if that makes sense, otherwise it could be replaced with something hard.
An easy order/chore is something with ticks or takes 3 or less button presses (Steak finger/chicken strips/most chores). A hard order/chore is something which is custom and requires a lot of button presses (Hamburgers/Hotdogs/Breakfast Sandwiches). The best case scenario is a screen filled with easy order/chores obviously so don't clear an easy order and focus on the harder ones which may eventually turn into easy orders.
However, the chores are also important, you need to also target the harder chores like the dishwasher, trash bin mashing. The other chores can probably be left there for now but if they start to disappear, you MUST do them immediately because they have a shorter fuse than the food orders.
Now there are also Iced Tea orders and these are actually not chores although they are the same size and have a similar picture to the refilling drink machine chore. They are darker in colour than these, they are brown instead of burgundy colour. I point this out because I have failed a lot by confusing Iced Tea and refill drink machine chores. Iced Tea actually requires a specific order like a custom food order.
So to sum up prioritise during rush hour.
Hamburgers
Hotdogs
Breakfast Sandwiches
Dishwashing chore
Mashing the trash bin chore
Iced Tea (just so you don't accidentally click on them and press the wrong button).
You might need to practice Hamburger orders if you still can't complete them fast, otherwise you'll have to hope that you luck out and not get given a lot of them.
There is a lot of luck involved in this one and if you apply the correct strategy you will get this, best of luck!
