How to unlock the B.O.S. Finest achievement in Coral Island - Definitive Guide
Edit: in the Coral Island discord, the Developer Diary for May 8th that they have fixed/are fixing the bug for this achievement. So hopefully with new update this will patch the achievement so that you won't have to make a new save.
So I'll be the bearer of bad news for this achievement. As of version v1.0-946, you have to start a brand new save for this achievement. If you started a version of the game before this version, as of today 3-22-24, you'll have to start a brand new save file. For anyone who wants to brute force this I put how I did it and some tips at the bottom.
There are 23 enemies. For the most part, if you're playing the game naturally on a good save version, then you should easily get this. Especially since you have to get to level 40 in the mines to unlock the next mine shafts.

New Save Brute Force Tips
- This personally took me about 7 hours to get this from game start to last enemy defeated.
- In hindsight, I could have probably done this quicker, but for my sanity I had switch to cleaning the ocean (I think I did about 18 beacons) and I also went for getting a chicken coop. Though I kinda don't think I needed to have done that. I will say though that working on some of my other skills did help to raise my stamina.
- I also only bought up to the 2nd backpack upgrade. I think 500 for the first and 3,500 for the second.
- The first two mine shafts aren't that bad. You are still able to get upgrades for the pickaxes. The third mine shaft is where I had to stop upgrading because I couldn't remember/didn't want to grind to get/find hardwood.
- I believe the total for the 2 pickaxe upgrades was 5,000, 5 bronze bars, 5 silver bars, and 40(?)ish wood.
- The biggest help for getting through that last two mine shafts was using explosives to mine instead.
- If you get a high enough skill level, ropes would also be super helpful to have.
- Pretty much my only goal was to look to see if there was an enemy that I needed to defeat, and then find the next level down as fast as I could. On good days with mining and explosives I was able to get through 15 to 20 levels a day.
Notes
- I got the level spawn info from the wiki.

This has been fixed as of v1.0-948. I completed the mines and put the game away months ago, then I opened up my last save yesterday and within seconds of waking up, the achievement just popped. No extra effort required.

Latest patch retro fixed this achievement for me. When I logged in it popped.
