to go from 0 to level 100 you need to harvest 6602 plant this is a lot but you can do it in 2 hours whit some preparation.

First you will need a scarlet hoe that you can craft you can collect a 5x5 tiles of plant whit it so it 25 faster to just use your hand.
Then you will need sprinkler to automaticaly water a 5x5 tiles zone so that you dont need to water any plant.
You can also have a farmers hat and two petal ring so every plant will give its crop.
If you have all of this it should take you 10min to let crop reach maturity and collect them.
Dont forget to add gold plant skill for gold plant that are the best food source in the game and also an achievement.
And start coking all the crop that you collect to upgrade cooking skill to you only need 5000 cook food to reach 100.

Gardening is pretty basic, anything we grow will give us 1 xp when we harvest it. They specifically have to be planted using a seed for them to count toward xp gained, so plants gathered throughout the world, as well as, mushrooms do not count. So for this we will set up a nice garden and just start planting seeds. Early on we will get seeds from exploring and defeating enemies, as we level up, we will gain additional seeds from harvesting and eventually we will be able to plant infinitely as we will always replenish our seeds from harvesting. And almost everything we grow can be used as ingredients for cooking.

Although this won’t help with leveling, we can earn even more from our harvests by equipping the Farmer’s Hat and Petal Ring. Both of these drop from Caveling Gardeners and can be found in some locked chests, though they are rare.
