How to unlock the Breakdance Broker achievement in Costume Quest 2 - Definitive Guide

You will need the Jefferson costume unlocked before attempting this, it is obtained in the Tooth Academy as a result of natural story progression. The place to go for this achievement is an area you will have already visited, French Quarter. However this area will currently be inaccessible, you will need to progress the story before you can return here, don't worry the achievement cannot be missed, so just come back during end game play.

Anyway, in the town of French Quarter you will surely have noticed 2 children standing on top of boxes, dressed as statues. After you have spoken to them both, simply approach either of them whilst wearing the Jefferson costume, and use your diplomatic powers by pressing cn_B. It is at this point that your achievement should unlock.

The "make sure you have spoken to them BOTH" (my emphasis) is key. If you just speak to one and then press the B button the one you spoke to will dance (slowly) and your party members will be frozen! Speak to both the Gold -and- Silver statues and THEN use Diplomacy!

In order to get this Achievement you will need the Jefferson Costume and you will get this while inside the Tooth Academy.
Once you progress further through the storyline you'll be able to return to the French Quarter using the Portal and this is when you can get the Achievement. Simply equip the Thomas Jefferson Costume and go and speak to the 2 Kids playing Statues, they will start dancing and you'll get the Achievement.

You'll first meet the Liberty Kids in the French Quarter during your visit to the Bayou. YOU CAN NOT GET THE ACHIEVEMENT HERE.

Later in Story progress YOU WILL RETURN TO THE FRENCH QUARTER. On your second visit to the Bayou you will find yourself next to the Liberty Kids once again.

Remember the Jefferson costume from the Tooth Academy? Use his ability on one of the Liberty Kids and achievement unlocked!

In the French Quarter area, you'll see two kids dressed as a silver and gold Statue of Liberty in front of the fountain. This is where you need to go to unlock the achievement, however, you can't get it the first time you reach this area near the beginning of the game because you need the Jefferson Costume power.

The Jefferson Costume is unlocked further in the story at the school in the future. It's required to advance so don't worry about missing it. After you have the costume, play until a time portal to the past is opened in the sewers closer to the end of the game. Go through it and climb the ladder up and back to the French Quarter. Equip the Jefferson Costume and press on either of the liberty kids. They'll start to dance and the achievement will unlock.

Once you have the Jefferson costume and are able to return to the Backwater Bayou in The Past, use Jefferson's exploration ability on any of the children posing as the Statue of Liberty in the French Quarter. The children will join forces and a funky beat will begin to play, then they'll start bustin' a move and the trophy will pop.

FrenchQuarter location in the past. Near the fountain there are 2 children in costumes (sort of like) the silver and gold statues of liberty. Put on the Jefferson suit and talk diplomacy with the silver one (it’s possible with the gold one, I did it myself with the silver one). Voila, your trophy.
