How to unlock the Bomberman achievement in Crackdown 2 - Definitive Guide

This is a VERY simple achievement. Simply go to a drop pad then equip the remote grenades (requires explosives lvl 2 or 3) then throw them all at the ground. Once out equip more. Throw THOSE all then repeat a few more times. Once 30 grenades are all waiting to blow, get back and hold RB. BOOM! Achievement unlocked.

Yet another way to do this achievement, is to find a turret that shoots rockets. Once there, hop on the turret and blast away until you get your bleep-bloop.

I got this quite by accident when a friend and I were having a little "helicopter duel". I had the chopper with the rocket launcher and just kept firing. Apparently, firing off into space counts, too (the rockets eventually detonate), since I was shooting into the air, and that's when the achievement popped. Just like a "turret that shoots rockets". ;)

Easy spot to do it. When you go to do the Gorge beacon detonation the entire cavern will be filled with explosive barrels. Simple start blowing stuff up and you'll easily get the 30 booms in 60 ticks.

An alternative solution is simply to use the flocket launcher and some cluster grenades... Find a nice area, heavily infested by freaks, and just keep letting rip with the flockets and the grenades (don't target the freaks as this can sometimes lead to flockets flying off for too long...) The chievo will pop in no time, and it works towards getting your explosives stats up! (make sure you are throwing the cluster grenades a good distance away though, otherwise you'll end up making yourself extra crispty!)

Some helicopters have dual rocket launchers. Once you are piloting such a vehicle, simply hold in both triggers for a bit and the achievement will pop. Since you have to get in a helicopter for a couple other achievements anyway, this solution seems the easiest--you don't even have to go out of your way or set up anything special.

There are two easy ways to get this achievement. Both ways are very easy to do.

  1. Stand on a helicopter drop point, and request a weapons drop. Choose a manual explosive (Quakie Grenade, or a Satchel Charge). Throw them all on the ground (don't detonate them), then request another weapons drop to reload on explosives. Repeat until you have at least 30 explosives on the ground. Switch to an explosive weapon like a rocket launcher (holding to set off the charges doesn't count) and shoot the explosives on the ground from a safe distance to cause a huge chain reaction.
  2. Another easy way is while in the area for the third beacon in Hope Springs. There are tons of explosive barrels down in the area for you to shoot within 30 seconds of one another.
