How to unlock the Wingsuit Racer achievement in Crackdown 2 - Definitive Guide

Requires level 5 agility and (Y) is to activate the Wingsuit. I would suggest practicing with the Wingsuit out of a chopper to get the hang of it before attempting most of these.

As mentioned by https://www.trueachievements.com/HybridPK.htm and confirmed by m0rph3us17 with the addition of the toy box DLC you can use the jet boots to help you, I haven't tried it but i would imagine that this helps a lot since you can basically fly with them if used correctly. If i remember correctly you don't need to buy the DLC to use these just DL the free version.
This video helped me a lot.

Confirmed you can complete all the challenges with the Jet Boots. However, as you move slightly slower than with the Wingsuit, the Agency Tower Stunt Ring is still a bit tricky, particularly the last checkpoint. I got this using a mix of tap-boosting with the Thruster Boots and using the Glide Suit to allow the boots time to recharge. Between the second to last and the last checkpoints, you'll really need to use mostly the wingsuit as the thruster boots alone won't get you there fast enough.

The thruster boots makes this a joke. I'm glad I did it the hard way smile

When I hit level 5 agility and started flying, I quickly found I had no skill in it, and was pretty sure I wouldn't be getting this achievement... which was true until I discovered the truth.

Not one of the rings actually needs you to be *flying* through them to activate them.

I was able to use the jet boots (which I have belatedly realised are part of the Toybox DLC) to slow hop through every wingman stunt ring; bar one. Only the rings above Agency Tower require a bit of flight to succeed at, where you must give yourself a second or two of flight after every ring to regenerate a little of your jet fuel - all except for the gap between the second to last and last rings.

This gap is too large for you to use the boots alone, the timer will run out (the rings do have a time limit before you get told you've failed and have to try again), yet it doesn't actually matter. Simply do one swoop flight with your wings, and you'll get that final ring.

This is how I got all ten of the rings, so I know it works.

EDIT : An amendment to this solution for those of you who do not have nor want the Toybox DLC - it is still possible that this solution can work for you!

First off, you must go to the Marketplace and download the free preview version of the Toybox DLC (about 144MB I believe) then start up your game. Then simply invite into your game a friend who *has* bought the DLC. Make sure you both spawn at the same location, near a friendly tactical location with weapon's crates nearby, then have your friend go over and exchange his jet boots for whatever grenade is on offer.

Then you swap out yours for the jet boots... and you're good.

As long as you don't:
A) Die,
B) Use the 'Request Weapon Drop' to reequip yourself, or
C) Quit,
you'll keep the jet boots for the rest of your game. In fact, your friend can quit out as soon as the swap is complete and you *still* keep the boots (having done this as the 'friend' in question, I know this works).

Thus a way for this solution to work for everyone, regardless of DLC purchases :)

EDIT 2 : And if you want it, another slightly easier solution than the edit above. Simply get yourself invited into a friend's game - one who has the Toybox DLC - and you'll have access to every weapon and vehicle he has unlocked, including the Jet Boots, the ATV and the Squad Chopper.

Actually you don't need to have access to the DLC, i downloaded it and leveled up all my abilities to level 6.Now you can use the thrust boots for free and without having to equip them in your inventory. I am not even sure whether you really need to download the DLC, but I think so anyways.

Rocket boots become unlocked for use in a single player game once you have all abilities at level 6. I haven't purchased the "Toy Box" DLC although I have downloaded the free "Toy Box Preview" DLC. I'm temporarily on Silver so I obviously havent joined a game with someone who has bought it.

One quick tip for a handful of the stunt rings: you do not necessarily need to glide through all of them without touching down lets say you miss it but its within jumping range, you can just jump through them ( if you watch the video, this is possible with the last ring of stunt number 1, 2, 4, and so on with the ones close to the ground) you just have to be quick about it before you fail the stunt ring!

There are a total of 10 Wingsuit Stunt Rings that you have to fly through. You unlock the Wingsuit at Agility Skill Level 5. For some Wingsuit Stunt Rings, you will have to fly through a series of rings. The first one being green and any others being a lighter orange color. Once you pass through green starter ring, if there is a series, the next ring that was a lighter orange will turn green.

How to use the Wingsuit: While in a free fall press the to activate the wingsuit and start gliding. Pressing up on the will make you dive and pulling down on the will make you go back up. As you are diving you will see the trail behind you turn red, this is the moment you want to pull your agent back up into the air. Then once the trail turns blue and flashes once. Go back down and repeat. This may take some practice on how to use the wingsuit, as it is not very easy for some.

Here is a video on how to complete 9 out of the 10 Stunt Rings with the Wingsuit.
