There are 15 road races in total. They're unlocked as you level up your driving skill. Only level 5 driving skill is required to unlock every race. I was able to reach level 5 mostly just doing road races, and a handful of stunt jumps, with a 10% driving skill Agent. Most of the races aren't that hard. I found using the e-brake to drift around corners to be most helpful. Use your brakes on tighter corners. The only thing you need to be careful about is getting stuck on random stuff because once you get stuck it's hard to move your car and you pretty much have to restart. There is usually room for a few small mistakes though.

I don’t understand how you keep the car on the road. If I clip anything my car seems to do a triple flip or come to a complete stop. At the moment the driving physics are making me want to snap the game disc into a million pieces - which would be hard as I’ve got it via game pass!

I'm curious if running a co-op partner through the rings in the car works in this one too. You could potentially just jump half the course while carrying your ally and save yourself an abysmal driving mechanic aneurysm.

Nope. Coop partner can’t run you through the rings. Doesn’t register you as having gone through.

I tried that one and then bit the bullet on having to just try, try, try again.

My only tip would be for tight turns use left trigger and A to go round. But in the main you can go round most bends with a slight dab of left trigger and release of right trigger.

I'm so glad to hear that the races and driving are difficult for other players. I'm really struggling with these races. No where close to gold time. They are not easy for me. The tank? Really? Ugh.
And yes, the agency car is like driving on ice when engaging the emergency brake with A button.

This game has hands down the worst driving physics I've ever seen. The drifting is beyond inconsistent, and any collision, no matter how minor, has about a 25% chance of spinning your car around about 38 times. Not to mention the numerous times my car became a rocket ship after hitting the debris from a street light I knocked over on the previous attempt.

This achievement wouldn't be so bad if you weren't always driving on ice. This game has to be a contender for having the worst driving I've ever seen. They shouldn't even bother having cars in the game there's no reason to ever get in one.

I’d rather they double orbs than do these driving challenges. My only small hint is to be at level 5 driving, that way when in the agency car, other vehicles bounce off you and won’t wreck you. I think the tank is the worst.

Does the 10% driving skill really help? I’m struggling with this but I have over half the races done so I don’t want to start over unless it’s really worth it.

Does the difficulty you play the game matter?

I find in the spider keeping the jump button down keeps it more glued to the road, and the suspension doesn't become a problem on corners, sometimes it goes crazy

Any tips for Drifting Away (in Oasis) or Quarry Maze (in Khans Scar)? I missed gold on Quarry by 0:00:22 and haven’t been close since. Need to shave off at least 8 seconds for Drifting Away.

For anyone having trouble with the tank you don't have to go down the second ramp. There is just enough room to cut through the edge of the gate and avoid getting hung up on the pole to drop off the ledge.

I was having a ton of trouble with the car feeling like it skidded and bounced everywhere. Go into options, down to advanced, and set the driving responsiveness to 0% and then try. It makes the car a lot less jumpy and you actually go where you look more. I finished about half the races pretty easily after that but it takes some time to get used to.

I am bad at racing games and I wanted to give up these challenges. But I still tried to get driving level 6 to see if it was better and ... I won gold at all races! Try to reach the max level and try again because I feel that cars are more manageable.

I think StK Jr has the key. I had just run the Quarry Maze a couple dozen infuriating times, with my best time at 2:09.59, barely under Silver. I saw his comment above and set my sensitivity to 0%. The very next run, I beat my best time by three seconds, and the very next time after that, I got Gold.

Grand Tour was the fucking worst. Theeee WORST. Took me a few nights of attempts to just barely get gold by 2.5 seconds. Cant wait to finish off these last couple races so I can delete this flaming pile of garbage off my hard drive.

Luckily each race only took me 1-5 tries each to gold but holy shit the physics are so bad!! I came hear just to see if others were complaining about it as well. It's seriously a joke!! There shouldn't vehicle racing in this game at all. You hit the littlest thing like a broken street light part and your car will go flying off course. I definitely recommend following StK Jr's advice and turning down the controller sensitivity. What also worked for me was to just use the normal brake (i never used the e-brake on a single race), and i always applied the brake when i was travelling in a straight line approaching the corner, just like i aways applied the accelerator out of the corner once i was heading in a straight line again. Braking / Accelerating when turning in this game is just awful and you can end up getting out of shape really easily. You don't have to be going at full speed through all the corners in this game to end up beating the Gold times, and i beat them pretty easily following this method.

Any tips for the races that involve the Spider (that don't include a PC), they're beyond a joke how it clings to walls like a magnet, climbing that instead of the race track. Can't even get close to the par time on a driving level 2.

In general, never use the e-brake. Every car you end up driving is toast the second you try it. Let off the gas and feather the brake to make corners. Combine that with oversteering (just crank the stick all the way over while braking) to make small drifts. On hard corners, just slow way down.

Holding in jump on the spider car makes it stick to the road and makes those three races far easier. Without doing that, it flips any time you drive over a slightly uneven surface at more than 5 MPH.

The Agency lightning car is atrocious to handle below level 5 so don't even bother. At level 6 it basically has instant stop and instant high speed acceleration.

There are a total of 15 Road Races you must find and complete within New Providence. The microphone icon will naturally show up on the map as you travel around it.

As you progress through the game and further into the island, the Road Races will become harder and require a higher Driving Level. Head over to the map and hover over the icon to see the recommended Driving Level. Below is a list of all the Road Races you must achieve Gold in;
