**Total is not cumulative! You must have the entire amount in your inventory for it to count.
**You can boost this with a friend by picking up enough copper ore to have 999/1000 and then hitting a nearby copper deposit to get the last ore and the achievement should unlock no problem.
Craft yourself a few Stone Pickaxes and smash away. This shouldn't take very long without the help of any additional skills but if you're going to allocate your points that way, here's how to do it.
Open your menu and go to the Skills tab and then select the Living section of skills. allocate one (or more) skill points to Miner's Quick Work (+damage to rocks/minerals) and then allocate one or more into Sense of Miner (chance to mine extra resources and drop larger quantities) to help you.
Island 1-2 Cherry Blossoms is where you can find large ore deposits such as Copper and Iron.
Apply the same method to rocks.

Thanks! I was stuck at 65% and couldn't figure out why. So the max I had at once was 650. 🤣

Makes a lot of sense... I've mined around 500 three or four times and gave up thinking the achievement wasn't tracking but I guess I was just giving up too quickly

You can find unlimited copper rock at Island of cove 1-2 (island level 1, enemy level 8) it will be at top of E5 near E4 border is near the alter of transportation You will see a reddish rock cover with grass . You can actually see it at map it will kind of look like a cookie 🍪
To mine faster try to maxed out ‘gathered frenzy’ (
skill > living > tier 1) then ‘miner quick work’ (skill > living > tier 2) and ‘sense of miner’ (skill > living > tier 2)
You might need Heal for gathered frenzy
