**Total is not cumulative! You must have the entire amount in your inventory for it to count.
**You can boost this with a friend by picking up enough logs to have 999/1000 and then hitting a nearby bush or tree to get the last log and the achievement should unlock no problem.

Craft yourself a few Wooden Axes and chop away. This shouldn't take very long without the help of any additional skills but if you're going to allocate your points that way, here's how to do it.

Open your menu and go to the Skills tab and then select the Living section of skills. allocate one (or more) skill points to Lumberjack's Quick Work (+damage to trees) and then allocate one or more into Sense of Lumberjack (chance to chop extra logs and in larger quantities) to help you.

There is a glitch that you can duplicate all the items you want, this will come in handy if you as you can only collect 100 or whatever you feel like it then use this method to boost the rest, can benefit 2 players actually
