How to unlock the C1 | On Cloud 99 achievement in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy - Definitive Guide

NOTE: THIS CAN BE FARMED
On island 3, you'll come to a level called Castle Machinery. If you collected the Green Gem from The Lost City in Island 2 (Guide Down Below) then you can take the elevator up to the left of the starting point where you'll find 27 bonus lives.
After collecting all the bonus lives, Quit the level and load the Auto-Save slot. Now head back into Castle Machinery and repeat the process until you have 99 lives.
Another great place to farm lives early on is The Lost City itself on island 2. Simply running the level, completing both bonus levels and grabbing the wumpa fruit will give you 6-7+ lives each run.
Here is a guide to all Gem locations, including the Green Gem.

I have white transparent boxes in the level, how do you make them appear ?

These boxes appear by getting the ! ones I believe.

Whilst the collecting the Green Gem on Lost City and then taking the secret path in Heavy Machinery works fine there is a easier to obtain although longer method in The Lost City itself. At the start of the level behind the metal crates there is one life. Then just a little further on there's three more lives. After obtaining these four lives. Quit the level, save, load the save, enter Lost City again, rinse and repeat until you reach 99 lives. It's longer to get the 99 lives but it removes the need to get the Green Gem which is certainly no easy feat.

Great meathond but I found it easier to get the lives quit and load the auto save so it makes it go faster.

You get 2 lives at the beginning of the level. Then go down, jump 2 times on the apples to pass the invisible platforms and reach the island, there are 2 more lives in the crates on the left. Then leave the level (press
) to get back to the world hub. Then press

Guide for farming lives to get the on cloud 99 achievement. Normal playthrough of the game should get you 99 lives but if not here is a way. You will need the green gem from lost city first. Load up level heavy machinery and do as follows. Then just end the level and reload your checkpoint and rinse and repeat until you have 99 lives.

This achievement actually requires you to amass 99 lives, not earn a cumulative total of 99 lives.
There is actually a decent chance you'll do this naturally depending on your skill, with all of the retries for relics and whatnot. However, if you don't have this achievement by the time you beat the game, you can farm lives very quickly and easily in the level Castle Machinery at the end of the game, once you have the green gem. Refer to C1 | The Ultimate Gem Path (70G) for getting it. Once you have it, simply start up Castle Machinery, hop on the gem on the left, ride it up and grab the 27 lives, then hop down and beat the level. Repeat three more times to max out your lives.
