Even though the text only says you have to die as Crash, the achievement is actually obtained specifically by dying by bees in either Diggin' It or Bee-Having. Just let one of them sting you, watch Crash puff up and you'll get the achievement.

Also wanted to note that you DO have to be Crash for this achievement. Some of the other ones you could be Coco.

Despite the simple description, this achievement requires you to die in a specific way: getting stung by a bee. Bees first show up in the fourth warp room, in the levels 'Diggin' It' and 'Bee-Having.' In either level, have a bee sting you to kill you, causing you to swell up, and this achievement will unlock.
Note that, unlock in the first Crash Bandicoot game, you actually do need to be playing as Crash to unlock this achievement; it won't unlock if you're playing as Coco.
