This is the first boss battle after finding five crystals in Crash 2. Ripper Roo will hop around the field leaving TNT boxes. Stand away from the TNT. Then he'll hop around leaving Nitro Boxes. Stand away from the Nitro boxes, but when Roo leaves the last box, it'll explode. Get up to him and use a spin to hurt him. Repeat three times.

Ripper Roo is the first boss of the game, and much simpler than in the first game. The fight is mostly waiting. You'll need to hang out while he makes TNT squares all over, standing in a safe spot when they explode, and then same thing for when he makes Nitro squares. After the Nitro squares explode, he'll be stunned and you can hit him. Repeat this process two more times to beat him. Nothing about this fight is random, so once you learn where to stand, it's the same every time.
