You must win the intro battle without moving at all. This means you cannot attack either.
Easy to do if you have three controllers. Start the game with three players, no AI. Have your main account not move at all. Dont even touch the controller. Have the other two characters face each other and press the attack button on both controllers simultaneously. These two characters will kill each other, and your main account will have won the battle without moving.
If you dont have two controllers, you can still earn this, but it may take some luck and a bunch of attempts. Start a 3 player game (2 AI). Put the AI to HARD so they are aggressive. Then just start the match and dont touch your controller. If the AI kill each other, you will earn the achievement. If they dont, quit the game and begin again.
I earned it this way, with the AI, on my first attempt. Those AI are crazy ;)
Update: I did it again against AI and recorded it.

I'm having trouble recreating your single-player strategy. The AI players don't move until I attack someone.

Are you putting them to HARD difficulty?
The AI are aggressive as hell on HARD. I can record a video later today to show it in action.
