For anyone wishing to boost this, level 6 of the second world has a tank that automatically fires a rocket when the level starts. Just load up the level, press start and the tank will fire. I'm not sure if you have to wait for it to actually explode against the bus but I did just to be on the safe side. As soon as it does just press start twice and it'll start it again. Achievement unlocked in a couple of minutes.

Lots of challenges use explosions; this will be unlocked in the course of normal game play.

This will definitely come naturally as you progress through the game, likely around the Space world challenges as they feature quite a few mine-based puzzles.
