How to unlock the Grand Design achievement in Create - Definitive Guide

This Achievement is easy, First find a Contraption-o-Matic that has 40 or more parts, then just make a Contraption that solves the puzzle and put the remaining pieces needed to total 40 in a pile (or make your contraption look cool). And there you have it!

I won it in the Outer Space level. puzzle #7.

i assume you mean outer space level puzzle #6. #7 is an object challenge.

Just to confirm that Outer Space, #6 is the very first opportunity to unlock this achievement. All prior Contraption-o-matics have less than 40 parts.

I have done it on level 6 challenge 2. I've built a simple trasport from 2 wheels and 2 girders. Then built bridge with 2 hinges and 2 long blocks. The rest of the details I've used up for piling hinges on top of each other right behind the wheels. Make sure they not attached to the main construction.

Since your goal is to use as few parts as possible to earn the most sparks, you probably won’t get this one in the course of normal game play. Simply go to a contraption-o-Matic challenge that allows you to use at least 40 parts and add 40 parts, but it still has to work and solve the challenge.

I recommend replaying one you have solved before (your previous solutions are saved by auto save) and simply add more parts as long as they don’t stop it from working.

The 40 parts do not have to belong to one large contraption. Load up any Contraption challenge that gives you 40 or more pieces and construct a vehicle/device that will solve the challenge (you can also just load a completed challenge and start from here). Now, go somewhere out of the way and place all of your remaining parts into one big mess that won't interfere with the challenge objects. Start the challenge and upon completion you will receive the achievement.
