How to unlock the Come up stumps! achievement in Cricket 19 - Definitive Guide

UPDATE: It seems the team select option in Career mode was removed a while after this solution was written. I couldn't find another way to get a 2nd controller in so unfortunately, you will probably have to do this one legit now. cry

Super easy with a 2nd controller. Take control of the opponent's team with your second controller and start any match in Career mode. At the toss, get your team to bowl first. With the first bowler, select Yorkers with cn_X and time your cn_A presses twice eith the light green bars to almost always hit the stumps. Use cn_RS on the second controller to move the batsman away from the stumps if necessary (LBWs can be finicky in my experience, best to avoid).
If you're lucky and your first match is a First Class match, you can get this done in 1 game. Simply follow the method above and after the wicket-taker's over, use cn_up to open a sub menu to choose the next bowler. I chose a spin bowler for shorter run up. Bowl straight to keeper for this over and you wicket-taker should resume in the next over. Mop up the wickets for 10 per innings.

Side note: If you start a game in Career mode and quit out before it has completed, when you resume you will have to Select Sides and the 2nd controller will have a bug with the bowling UI where after selecting the length, the box disappears leaving you with no indicators for jump and release. Try to finish any match before backing out of Career mode, basically.

Just want to add that the achievement didn’t pop for me until I advanced the career calendar to the next match after taking the 20 wickets.

I popped this in about 2 hours or so following the guide here (posted on the Windows version). Mostly bowled yorkers (x button) and effort balls (b) and got the wickets sooner that I expected. Hope it helps in case anyone is struggling.

I started a new finger spin bowler (not all arounder) pitching for the highest rated team in West Indies. I got 20 LBW wickets in 4 matches throwing Yorkers with effort. In the Match Settings before each match, I set the Pitch Age to Day 5 and Heavy Cracked. When I occasionally had to bat, I got myself out quickly.

It took about 30 minutes, and once I knew I had more than 20 wickets, I simulated the rest of that match to get back to the main career menu. Once there, I advanced to the next game and it popped.

I might be missing something super obvious but I cannot use 2nd controller in Career mode. No problem any other game mode. Any suggestions?

Hey MaseJ, I just reinstalled the game to confirm. I've updated the solution, my apologies to anyone else that may have lost their minds trying to figure this out.

Was a slog. I went through phrases of putting slips in and bowling full balls trying to get edge's or doing full toss balls but pure luck I found. Took me about 20 matches and 1000 balls
