How to unlock the I Like Trains achievement in Crime Boss: Rockay City - Definitive Guide
It'll take some quality shooting and some backtracking, but it is absolutely possible to get all the money.
Okay, I would like to point out that since this game's levels are sort of randomly generated (reminds me of Remnant) the general layout will be the same, but little nuances might be different, like where you start, where the way to the exit is, but the "loot van" always seems to be where you pop a smoke, walk through a short trailer, out a door and into a shipping container hidden behind a bunch of stuff. This mission was pretty difficult but I still managed to get it first try without losing team members. You cannot do this mission in stealth, as it starts already with the cops coming at you. All heists are best done at the start of a new day due to the heat being reset. That means a much lower police presence thrown at you right at the start, or on other heists means a low amount of cops. The difficulty of this also depends on what tier the cops are (mine was 2 on my first run, but 1 on my second and they were very weakly equipped for a while).
First: You are going to need 4 heavily armed people (obviously taking Baker as one of the four). I went in with 4 Saw Para O's, and automatic secondary weapons (Bohema). One of my guys had a sentry turret in the equipment, but I ended up forgetting to use it.
Second: Make sure those 4 have high health, and preferably, The Medic perk, which increases revive speed and also health regen, but the Vigor perk is a decent alternative which is just health regeneration. Swift is a nice perk to have too. Odds are you aren't going to have 4 perfect team members with these perks.
Third: To maximize your profit, those team members should have low team cut percentage. I went in with: Vamp (1%), Jupiter (2%), and Stinger (2%). That is only a 5% team cut which made me chuckle for a minute. I ended up making just over 4 million.
Down to the strategy: When the mission starts, depending on where you start you may be able to immediately attach the buzz-saw to the train. If you can, do so and speed it up. On my second run, I wasn't next to the train when I started, and a fire was blocking access to the door. If that happens, there is a fire extinguisher on the wall opposite the train (for me anyway). As for the buzz-saw, I had gotten good at doing it perfectly every time, learning that the ones with different size green zones moved differently. The ones with smaller green zones speed up slower, but also have a higher speed (x3). The ones with the larger green zones had the speed increase quicker, and had a slower speed (x2).
While the buzz-saw is doing its thing, turn around and try getting headshots on cops in small bursts, to maximize the time that the clip lasts. Listen for the buzz-saw to slow down and speed it up again when it does. When the buzz-saw finishes, guess what? You got 2 more doors to buzz-saw, one on the left, and one on the right and you can only do one at a time. Once it finishes, turn around and immediately slap the buzz-saw on the other door and speed it up. When you turn around to start looting your share of the work, everyone will have gone in and started busting open the containers and grabbing cash. Interestingly, by design, each side has enough loot to where it is enough for one bag per person, plus one grab shy of a second bag for you.
It is a long slog to the loot drop off, but take your time. I suggest waiting by the train, and slaughter the cops until it says they are retreating and then run for that yellow dot. I suggest switching to your pistol or holstering your weapon entirely as you run faster. The LMG slows you down quite a bit while it is the active weapon though that may be true for all primary weapons. I wouldn't know because I love the Saw Para O or the Reaper's Saw. When you get to the truck, pop the smoke and then go inside the door that opens. Travel through the vehicle and out another door on the left, where the true drop-off point is and toss your bags in.
By this point, the cops will be attacking again, so bunker down and kill some more until they retreat again, then run for the train using the same strategy as when you were running to the drop-off. Holster your weapon or switch to the secondary weapon. When you get to the train, things got a little screwed up for me, as one person took two bags and thankfully it was Jupiter who for me had the highest health on my team at 357. Her having two bags isn't a bad thing because it forced her to use the secondary weapon which obviously made her run faster.
On the way back, I had made it all the way there while the cops were still "retreating" and when i threw my bags in, I noticed one of my team members (Vamp) was stuck at the entrance to the train station. The AI path-finding is kind of messed up sometimes. I switched to her and started running, which ended up being bad as the cops were all focused on my 3 others at the exit and I forgot to make them retreat first. So since Vamp was now unstuck, I switched to Jupiter and used her Berserk, and just started emptying my clip into them until Vamp caught up and we all left together, no-one was ever even downed.
I don't know if the bonus objectives are set for the heists, but mine was to get 90% of the loot. I got all of it and made just over 4 million as my cut. There was no "extra loot" because the loot was entirely cash. Also, your amount obtained may also be different depending on how many heists you've already done.
*EDIT* I included new information that was added because of my second run with this heist being a little different.
If you have advice on how to improve my guide, let me know in the comments.
Here ends the (hopefully helpful) wall of text.
