this achievement is annoying as there is two outcomes for this mission one where you don't get the achievement if you get the story mission where you have to throw the chess pieces in the laundry basket in the prison then you will not get the achievement for wiz.

However when you get the quest for the first time you will need to get a step towards the hidden vault heist so when you get the mission to get the disc proceed into this storyline until you need to get a briefcase from a gang member DO NOT KILL HIM instead as soon as the mission starts jump straight into the escape van to technically fail the mission but don't worry you have now proceeded the story for wiz there is 3 more missions

once you have done these you will be rewarded $2m and will unlock wiz in crime time

As of update 11 (September 2024), the solution in the other guide no longer works. Wiz's appearance and missions are no longer tied to the hidden vault heist arc. This may be reverted in the future, but as of now the only way to get Wiz on your team is luck. You can restart the story and only hope he's available for purchase in the first few days.

This can be confusing if you don't know what to look for. When playing the campaign, background missions for five characters will randomly appear. These are marked in light yellow on your map (see screenshots below)

The story arc for Wiz contains five missions: "Check Mate", "Soap Up", "Baller", "Tight Rope" and "Spend Money to Make Money". They become available once Wiz is on your team, so keep an eye out if he's available (I had to purchase him). When you complete the first one, the second will appear one or two days later, and so on. You will get the achievement after finishing the last mission.
