This is not a normal solution but the way I got it. Maybe it will unlock for you in the same way, so here it goes.
I first completed the entire game on casual with the starter dragon (upgraded and evolved, of course). This means every mission in the game completed. After that was done, I went back to my base and changed the difficulty to classic. Used the same dragon and also a wingman to play the very first training mission. Got an 'A' with over 90.000 points and unlocked this achievement.
Since every mission still has a mission rank attached to it, the game might think I beat every mission on classic instead of casual. So just beat every mission on casual, change to classic and beat the very first training mission (super easy).
Not sure if this will work for everyone but I would at least try it this way.

I got it by accident and then read this thread and didn't feel so lucky

Having completed all the casual missions I indeed went into classic mode, completed the first level with over 90k points and the achievement for this popped. Even more weird is the fact I had played that mission on classic before. Only once though, so maybe it doesn't matter how much you play classic as long as you play this mission straight after completing casual?

Wish I read this before I finished every mission on classic legit. lol Great solution though!
By Hunter Kahn on 16 Jan 2014 14:50
I definitely played it again on casual at least once before i finished the game on casual having already played the first lvl on classic) Could be worth doing it again just to test. Hope it works for you!

So does it matter what dragon you use? cuz the op posted that he used the same dragon throughout the casual playthrough and then restarted with that dragon but I've switched dragons already in my casual playthrough
By Haugse 0ne on 16 Aug 2014 11:04
doubt it. I had used a plethora of dragons on my way through casual. maybe just use the same one on the training mission in classic that you use to do the last mission in casual... just in case.

I was going point this out. And that how I unlocked 3 achievements in one levle complete when I replayed a levle.
Haha, still works :) I didn't see this till I was about 30% done playing levels on classic... Switched to casual then just replayed the first training mission on classic and it unlocked.

Still works, got it by accident then saw the solution - thumbs up anyway.
By DementedSquire7 on 06 Sep 2015 13:40
This still happens (29/2/16), got it by naturally completing the game on casual and going to start from the first mission on classic
By TangerineGamer on 01 Mar 2016 14:40
figured it wasn't going to work for me as I switched over to classic to get 'Not Bad, Rookie' to keep my streak going a few weeks back, and the tracker stopped at 46%. Beat easy, switched to classic, ran thru "Thinning the Herd" and it popped at the end, good times!
By WestsideSxE on 06 Apr 2016 16:14
Booyah 10 years later n guide is still spot on😁
By Malc666 Eski on 13 Dec 2023 23:12
Still works as of 8/23/24 even if you have previous progress. I had about 40% of the way done because I stupidly started on Classic back in the day.
By mystmagi on 23 Aug 2024 16:20
So I beat the first coral lake east mission on classic (but that one only), would it be best if I just continued thru the rest of the game on casual and then use said method, or replay it on casual then do it? Or would it void the method all together?
By LYarbrou543 on 28 Jan 2014 23:01
Got it this way (and quite on accident, too!) Looks like the multiplayer patch didn't catch this.
