How to unlock the First Time Buyer achievement in Crimson Dragon - Definitive Guide

The easiest and fastest way to get this is to complete the first mission of the game and then go into the shop. Hit "buy item packs" and purchase a recruit pack using credits. This is the cheapest item possible to net you this achievement and you earn more than enough to purchase it during the mission you just completed.

I have tried several times but nothing, none of the three packages gives me the achievement. Someone else has the same problem?

No matter, it seems that the achievement has problems, but after buying the packages yesterday, this morning while I was playing I got it without any additional packages.
