I got this achievement after playing the Final Mission and the Final Mission alone. I did NOT have to play every mission. The very first multiplayer mission I played was the Final Mission, and as soon as it ended, I got this achievement.
Please confirm in the comments if this works for you or not as well. Also, I'm not sure whether or not if this is a temporary glitch that they will eventually patch, so I'd recommend you start with the Final Mission and get this achievement quickly just in case!
**EDIT** If the comments of this solution are any indication, this achievement is buggy as all hell, but in a good way! People are reporting getting in on any random mission, not just the final one. However, it seems they had completed the single player game (as I had) before trying, so it may be tied to that. If anybody gets this achievement WITHOUT having completed single player, please comment and let me know.
**SECOND EDIT** As of August 2014, it appears from the comments that people are still unlocking this after completing ANY multiplayer mission, provided they have already finished all the single player missions.

I also did a random level and unlocked after I finished it! However, I did beat the game already.... wonder if that has anything to do with it?

I decided to try the MP while finishing up the 100 Boss Challenge on The Bloated Anomaly.
I didn't even notice this Achievement or the Play 1 MP Match Achievement unlock at all.
That was prior to me knowing it had more Achievements added.
I have played and finished every single player level also.
I think it must be tied to that fact.

The final mission is literally called "Final Mission." It's the one where you face the White Phantom. You're sure you played that one? (It should become available immediately after you finish "The Lichfield" in Lava Lake.)

Yeah, I you finish single player on casual you can unlock classic and multiplayer by replaying any mission in the respective modes.

Hmm, that's quite strange as I have unlocked the single-player 'Classic Mode' achievement this way but this one and the one for getting 3 'S' ranks on MP haven't despite me apparently meeting the criteria.

It says I have 100% for this achievement, but it is still in the locked section. I think I will never be able to unlock it now because of this glitch.

I've heard recently that lots of people are having trouble unlocking achievements in multiple games on the Xbox One, so it may be related to that, rather than Crimson Dragon itself. :/ I've never heard of it happening for this achievement before...

How about this for a glitch. After I got Overachiever in Single player I jumped into Multiplayer. There I met up with a gen 1 lv 6 dude and we got our asses handed to us in a Lava Lake mission.
In the mission fail screen I got the achievement.

Not sure if this is helpful, but Game Informer was reporting four days ago (Aug. 2) that the Xbox One achievements issue has been resolved, and that all the unlocked achievements WILL be rewarded, but it may take a few days. So maybe this Crimson Dragon one will pop for you guys soon.

You will get this the first mp game you play after completing all sp missions. I played three times in mp before finishing the sp campaign then beat it and played the basic training in mp and it popped after.

just happened to me... every time I look for a final mission lobby, it brings me into a different one. so I just did a random mission and got this achievement o.o I didn't even know this was an achievement until it popped.

Still works as of 1/5/15, and I can confirm the above post. My partner quit before the mission ended and I still popped the achievement. In fact, I had the one for completing all missions for a few minutes before the one for a single MP mission. :)

I agree with the 2nd edit. I played some single player, then went to MP and played 4 games. Then I went and finished the single player campaign. After a few weeks, I came back and played a MP match and the achievement popped along with the play 5 MP games achievement. I did not know anything about the glitch and checked the guide to see what's up. Riddle solved.
I can confirm it works. I still have plenty of missions to finish.
