The slot machine is a random room event that began appearing for me after I reached the Ocean Depths area. You spend 100 gold per spin to win points to cash out for a prize. If you spin for 0 points, your total resets back to zero and you have to start over again. Extremely high risk and probably should not be used until much further in a run where you'll have several thousand gold saved up.



If you're lucky like me, you'll get the jackpot and instantly win all prizes! It cost me an entire floors worth of gold + the challenge chest I won but at least I can say I won the jackpot at least once.



And after picking everything up, I walked away with 212 Soul Shards and 376 Gold, so it wasn't too bad of a gamble after all.
