How to unlock the The Things Love Does for Us achievement in Crusader Kings III - Definitive Guide

For this acheivement you are going to need the perk Mortal Adoration which will give you the chance for one of your lovers to die instead of you during a murder attempt.

The easiest way I have found to do this is to play as Doux Leon of Thrakesion who is the holder of the Duchy of Thrakesion in the Byzantine Empire in 1066. He sometimes starts with a few perks in the Seducer Lifestyle and for speed it is worth restarting if he doesn't.

Start seducing any married women who are have Vengeful husbands. You can find them by bringing up the Character search by pressing C and searching for the Vengeful trait and filtering for Married Men.

Keep seducing, it doesnt matter if you get caught, in someways this will help and you may want to expose your secret. As soon as you have a few lovers and the Mortal Adoration perk fire your Spymaster and run at speed 5. Eventually someone will get annoyed with you and want you dead. Hopefully once they succeed at the scheme your lover will take your place.

Another route that I didn't have much success with is starting as Daurama Daura in 867 under The Great Adventurers. She starts with someone that wants her dead from the beginning but doesn't start with any perks in the seducer tree. I found I died before I could get the Mortal Adoration perk but your luck may be better.

This is a surefire and reproducible way to earn this achievement (1.4 but I don't see why it wouldn't work for any patch):

Start as Daurama of Kano in the 867 start date. She is a highlighted character and has unique starting flavor, specifically she has a rival who starts with a murder scheme on you. Pick the Temptation focus and begin a seduction scheme on any Heterosexual Male in your court. Sometimes you get unlucky and no fish are biting, just restart in this case. I'd also restart if you can't find one with a success chance above 50%, just for time.

Luckily usually there is at least one dude who has a 40-60% chance to fall for you within 2 years. Set your spymaster to disrupt schemes and go through the event chain until he becomes your lover. After he becomes your lover I would recommend making a manual save by going into the files and copy-pasting your save. The game even lets you load it in-game so there's no reason to make this take any longer than necessary.

Now fire your spymaster and within a few years you should be getting events that mention one of your servants dying of food poisoning, getting jumped by bandits in the forest, getting killed, or, if you're lucky, your lover rescuing you from a shadowy figure with a knife. You DO NOT need the Mortal Adoration perk for this, you just need your lover in your court (I put him on the council just in case).

If you get any event that reveals Bagwariya (your Rival) tried to kill you, you know you're good. You just need to reload the save, speed 5, and repeat until RNG gives you the specific ending event you want. It took me about 15-20 minutes and quite a few reloads, but eventually your lover will throw his life away for you and you'll get it.

If for some reason you are getting no events for the assassination attempt after like ~5 years of waiting, reload your save, if it keeps happening you might need to restart. This achievement is unfortunately quite luck dependent but this is easily the most reliable ways to get this. After hours of trying other methods this took me less than an hour.

tl;dr Start as Daurama in 867, choose Temptation, make someone in your court your lover, fire your spymaster, make a backup save, and reload until you get the event where your lover saves you (as opposed to your servant getting poisoned, failed ambush, or fully dying).
