During Story Mode, you will play as a few different fighters and fight against many different opponents. Thankfully, there is a very simple way to spam your way through every single fight in Story Mode. With every fighter you play as, you can spam the inputs
(assuming you're on the left side of your opponent; otherwise, reverse it). If done correctly, it will create a massive shockwave in the air that sends the opponent flying back and does massive damage. Despite seeming like it covers the entire screen, the opponent does have to be close enough for it to hit. You can either continually approach your opponent and spam this attack, or wait for them to come to you. If you can corner them, you can juggle them with this attack and defeat them without them getting in a single attack.
Note that this might take a little practice to get the timing down for this attack. I highly recommend using the d-pad, even though it's possible on the thumbstick. It's just easier to ensure you're pressing the proper directions. The good news is that even if you're not doing the shockwave, you'll almost assuredly still end up hitting your opponent enough to win anyway. Once you get the timing down on the inputs for the shockwave, ever fight in Story Mode becomes a breeze.
