just for the record... TA tracks the game from the date you got your first achievement in it - NOT when you first start playing. I'm just sayin' - but it's very possible to play one online game, get no achievements, and then get this cheive 6 months later...

What I mean is set the date 6 months earlier before even booting up the game for the first time, I don't have the game myself but it does make sense. Anyone could try it with a Silver account.

No, setting the date 6 months early offline and playing the game, then turning the network back on and logging in to live (thus updating the clock to Now) then playing the game, does not get you the achievement. I've tried it with a silver account.

Yep, you're wrong since on TA it shows the date when you get your first achievement, not when you did your first MP game...

but still ... when you first play the game you usally get 1-2 cheevo

OK, I see the problem... That's just because you didn't get the achievement requirement, then.

It's play ONLINE 6 months after your first time.

You can play and unlock every SP achievements on day one, if you don't play some MP, it doesn't start the "countdown" for your 6 months.

The solution you're giving would be for an achievement that could go like this :

"While connected to Xbox LIVE, launch the game 6 months after your first time"

How did you get the achievement? I bought the game when it was released in march which means I can't unlock this till September.

This is just a theory, but I think this achievement is based on EA's stat tracking so changing the date shouldn't do anything.

I've played every night for the past 3 nights and still nothing.

EA will shut the servers down one day before anyone is able to get this, obviously im being a smart ass, but thats how they do their business

I traded the game in at gamestop. I won't know until 2 months from now.

Seeing as this game was only released March 22nd in North America, the earliest most people would be able to unlock it would be September 22nd. So it puzzles me as to how so many people are starting to unlock it at this point in time...

hmm maybe the beta counts towards the achievement? or you have to play a whole match and win.

you may not even have to wait exactly 6 months to the day like for example 25th of march to september 25th.. you may just need to play 6 months on. which would make sense as most people unlocked it september 1st onwards.

Well I played a few matches on release date (March 22nd) and again last night and nothing unlocked as of yet. So I do think it has to be 6 months to the exact date.

I started the game March 26th and it unlocked for me yesterday (September 10th), I may have been lucky but it seems it not 6 months to the day.

I did play the beta so not sure if this affected it.

For those who have gotten the legit way, when does the achievement actually pop? When you start up the game? Enter multiplayer menu? Enter an online game? When the game finishes?

Haven't played the beta either and tried doing it today but looks like another wait. Just curious to where exactly the achievement unlocks.

@i5cent - why would you want to downvote this? it helps ppl find out what day they played online for the first time it is a good walk through for this achievement ... no need to hate. but also to the second point of this, it seems that this achievements coding is a little glitchy and might or might not have something to do with the beta however, people have gotten this achievement with time stamps and have not cheated so the debate is still open on exactly how long you have to wait.

Out of curiosity, how many of you have done a Nanosuit Reboot? I played my first match on March 22nd but have Nanosuit Rebooted 5 times since, and have yet to get this achievement as of today...

Unfortunately, it's looking more and more like a Nanosuit Reboot may in fact also reset your initial starting date ;( I would hate to have to wait for another 6 months after my last Nanosuit Reboot :(

This is bullshit. I played online a full match numerous times and it has been more than six months now. still no cheevo. I have19/19 on supersoldier too and still no cheevo. FUCK THIS GAME!

Well, I first played it 31/3/11 so still have a week or so to wait. Thankfully my mates bro still has it so will be looking to borrow it off him for 20 minutes ;o) coz I only rented this game, thankfully none of the cheeves glitched for me but did for my mate - 3 times he completed supersoldier before it unlocked for him!

It unlocked for me AFTER I finished my first online game of the day..

Well i still have my original save and i never had my MP stats reset at all.

so points 2 & 3 don't fit for me.

I'm also a level 50 who never rebooted who played the beta.

So its either glitched or the people that have it are cheats.

So to answer the question, it's 6 months after you played multiplayer versus.

Ratshit. Glitched for me too. Was looking forward to playing one game then trading it in. Looking at the above posts I may have to keep it and try it on the 1st october. 1 achievement left. Pissed off.

I'm in the same boat. Bought it the day it came out (pre-ordered actually), and played MP the first day (3/22). Still can't get this to unlock.

Another glitches one here as well. I've tried all the ways I can think in the past few days and nothing.

so here's what my game's like: i have the limited edition, so i skipped the first 5 level, i boosted to level 50 in 2 days, i didn't get reset, i didn't prestige and i'm not signed in to ea or mycrysis. i played first time online on the 25th and trueachievement says, i got the achievement try me on the same day. my xbox though says i got it on the 26th (?). i do not have the 800MS points released in june (?)... so far i do NOT have dedication, though i play since one week, two whole games a day...
plz anyone who has this achievements, do u have the 800 MS points dlc?

Out of curiosity again - Has anyone who bought the Limited Edition (with the automatic Level 5 multiplayer boost) managed to unlock this achievement?

There have been rumblings that the game will only trigger the initial countdown when you first enter a match as a Level 1, and assumes that Level 5s have allready played online prior, effectively rendering this achievement permanently unattainable for people who bought the Limited edition, like me :( And Nanosuit rebooting won't work as it will just reset you back to Level 5, sadly.

Let's hope this is not the case, though we may know more this weekend...

@ Reaper08R I got the limited edition Crysis 2 but I played multiplayer up to rank 10 before I put my code in that came with the game. I started multiplayer on the 29th March and it's now 6 months and 1 day since then and no achievement yet

Achievement finally popped - Oct 1 from March 26.

Hi every one! I just got mine at 1st october 11:22 am in Russia!!! I tried to get this one countless tries before, and finally get it! I have played TIA, first try i was kicked for idol, then i reconnect to the same lobby, played the match to the end and it popped! Good luck to every one trying to get this one!

For those that have gotten it, when after the match does it pop? At the scoreboard? During the final kill cam? During the XP breakdown?

Ok so I just got this achievement, I played my first full MP match on 25th March, I tried playing on 26th sept, and got nothing, tried 27th and got nothing, I then read above about the game only recognising months so I waited and played a full MP team instant action this morning and at the end of the game the achievement popped,

so for clarity: started March 24th (Try Me achievement), NO beta, NO suit reboot, boosted lvl50 with CTR, have the SE (thus starting at lvl5), non of the other achievements glitched.

I tried just now at 3pm uk time, and still nothing, i got this game on release day and it is still not unlocking. im seriously pissed off, so now what, i gotta wait till november 1st to try again? only to find out it wont unlock again. im pretty sure its glitched entirely and it wont unlock no matter what i do until fuckin lazy ass crytek release a patch, but i doubt they will as they seem like they dont give a fucking shit about their games or people playing them.

MOPHREAK: A friend of my had to reboot because of the weapons glitch. He got Dedication yesterday. So Rebooting isn't the problem.

has anyone popped this one with deleting a saved game? I'm thinking the cheevo's stat tracking is based on the game save on hard drive and not kept track online on the servers.

on oct 1st unlocked for me after playin Team DM 1st game it unlocked after game end..

I never touched my saved game file and it won't unlock for me.

My brother unlocks it yesterday but for me is still glitched. He only plays two matches in "instant action team" and when he finished the second match the achievement was unlock automatically.

it unlockt for me today and i did reboot my nanosuit and move my safe to new harddrive a few months back got 250g insted my 20g and i playd few games ysterday and nothing guess its all luck if you get it

Earned 'Try Me' on the 26th March and been playing two matches daily since 26th Sept and still no achievement. This is unacceptable and ruins one of my favourite games of 2011. The people at Crytek should hang their heads in shame.

Fucking agreed ^ then they forget to give Xbox.com the Crysis 1 achievements so no-one can earn gamerscore in it. I know they were exclusively PC devs before this but, really, just really. this is embarrassing.

Here's a thought (because it hasn't unlocked for me): does it have anything to do with your MyCrysis.com account? After I log in to mycrysis.com I see that I've been a member since May 12 which *may* mean the achievement won't unlock until Nov 12? Could be a flaky theory. Any thoughts?

Haven't got this cheev yet either. First played on April 7th so going by the reports here it will be November before I'm eligible to earn it. I did play a few games on Oct 1st with no luck so will try again on the 7th or the 8th to be sure. Really want to just trade this game now but this cheev is holding me up.

Played Crysis for the first time April 9, dabbled in some MP, started this morning again, and it popped after my first Team Deathmatch. I'm only level 6 online, finished campaign, but hardly ever played MP.

Seems like the achievement is just popping for 25% (if that) of people. we need to see what happens at the 1st of November because a lot of people seemed to unlock it after the 1st of October.

I was lucky, it unlocked today, 13th october. I played my first few matches on 11th april, I tried to unlock the achievement two days ago 11th october, no luck then. Never deleted any save files.

Six months to the day, yesterday, and still no achievement....

I unlocked the achievement "Try Me" on 01/04/2011 and i still haven't got the achievement 24 days and 6 Months later.

NOTE - I unlocked the "Nomad - Multiplayer: Play a full game on every map:" achievement on 02/10/2011, 1 day and 6 months after i first played crysis.

Yea I've not unlocked this yet either. Will try again at the start of November and give up on it if that fails for me. Never had any issues unlocking any other cheevs in the game

I played this day of release, completely forgot about this achievement, just picked it up for a quick go today as i just got it back from a mate and it just popped for me after 1 game. Didnt win it, there was a big update for me, so not sure if that had anything to do with it? Dont think in that case it has to be 6 months to the day, just anytime after 6 months?

Just got it. Joined a late game of team deathmatch (my team had like 15 kills). Played out the rest of the game and after the scoreboard popped up, I got the achievement (12:40am EST)

Just got it!!! I first started May 23rd, so I honestly wasn't expecting it at all. I had the exact same conditions as FalcoN, except I didn't have to download the update. I even stopped playing the game in June.

Crytek must be the only developer that doesn't know how to use the achievement system properly. Played online in April and still it won't unlock. It's all I need to 1k this game, thats why it's so frustrating.

I just unlocked it, and much like above earned try me achievement on May 28, so it has not been a full 6 months. I also played yesterday on Nov 1 and did not get the achievement, so it doesn't seem to be the new month necessarily. I joined a team instant action game with about 3 mins left and it popped as soon as the match ended.

Finally got it. Try on Sept. 22 when it should have unlocked but it didnt. Tried yesterday joining a game already in progresss. Lost the game and it unlocked. If you have any other questions then just message me on xboxlive

I got this achievement 6 months after I got my last online achievement in the game after having played both betas and I started it back in march when if first came out. Sadly the community is dying out so hopefully everyone can get there achievement soon as I waited in the lobby for about 20 mins before I could start a game.

I put a comment regarding this being glitched on the mycrysis forum and they deleted my account and blocked my email address. After pre-ordering their game, and playing it for over 50 hours it's just insulting to be openly ignored/censored. Crytek do not give a sh*t about their customers, they don't want to hear your complaints and they will delete any defamatory comments about their game to stop you from putting other people off from buying it.

I've been playing all day. I have unlocked Dog Tags, Completed Assessments, gone up two levels plus earned and unlocked my final weapon - nothing. I've played at least 3 games of each game mode - nothing. I deleted and re-downloaded the patch, then played some more - nothing. I even installed Crysis 2 onto my HDD after reading on a forum that it worked for somebody after doing so - nothing. I'm going to try again in December and at least get my lvl50, but seriously this achievement is a joke.

BrumtownMangler, I left a post on Crysis' facebook page describing your situation regarding the MyCrysis ban issue, hopefully they will respond in some form

Unlocked last night for me after 8 months. I deleted the title update and DLC then booted up and it popped after the first team deathmatch. Also, I did join mycrysis and purchased the limited edition. Hope this helps guys.

I know these comments don't help much if you haven't got it, but it unlocked for me today. If it helps in developing a pattern, I used the code to skip to level 5, I was at the max level but did not prestige, and I did not clear my cache at any stage. For everyone who it has glitched for, I guess you just have to keep trying and hope for a patch. According to mycrysis online forums the developers are looking into it, there's certainly a persistent group of people keeping the topic alive over there. Perhaps you're next best bet is to wait for the 1st of January. Hope the online stays alive that long! G'luck

What kind of a company can't get an achievement right after making gamers wait 6 months? I hate ranting but this literally is the dumbest fucking achievement and the only thing keeping me and several others from a completion.

Add another one to the glitched column. Can't say I'm surprised though, I was one of the lucky ones that had Tooled Up glitch on me too. Being a completionist though, I will be absolutely pissed if I never get this achievement.

hmm, I've already traded this game after giving up a month ago but might try to get my hands on a copy to try it once more now that it's December and theres a title update.

The update didn't work for me :/ that's 9 months that this wank cheev ain't unlocked , I'm bored of if now tbh, and for crytek to just turn their customers away is bull! 40 quid or 50 dollars a pop, it ain't cheap but their sitting there with their testicles wrapped around their head thinking nothings wrong, they better do an actual update with relevance to this cheev soon, 9 months.. I'd just like to say that i got dedication tonight. I started on April, waited 6 months and it didn't pop, when i downloaded the new title update it worked for me and unlocked. So from April to December it popped. Also, i rebooted my suit, if that helps.

Kinases, you can kill as many people you want. When you hit the point of rebooting (prestige) you have to select the option to do so. It's not going to happen automatically just cause you capped in experience. I hope you have luck grabbing the achievement - you and everyone trying. Next month should be my time. I have a nagging feeling it won't happen. I am so damn tired of these bullshit developers that do half ass work. They can sure take your money for the game before its even released, but they can't support their customer.... Fk em....

Update did nothing for me. Still no achievement as I approach the 9 month mark.

Rebooted right as a match was about to begin. We'll see if it unlocks in this match. I figured "what the hell," not like it can make this situation any worse.

Whit the PAL UK version there is a bug:when you play for the first time the multyplayer, you unlock the achievements

This has glitched on me too; started on 18/06/11 today being 18/12/11 is exactly 6 months later, but no achievement after playing several games today.

Though I did get Tooled Up today, so at least that didn't glitch too.

Also, I'm playing the UK PAL version and you don't get the achievement when you first play multiplayer...

I didn't get this achievement either, should have popped on 12/12/11, first played 12/06/11. I've tried installing the game to HDD, clearing cache, deleting update, playing on the same day of the week as the one i first played on (Sunday), even playing through a level on campaign was a suggestion i read somewhere. None of these have worked.

Just popped in Crysis for the 2xp weekend. I like many others should have gotten this achievement long ago. However there was an update for this game and after my first game it popped.

This achievement still won't unlock for me. I first played 12 June 11. I tried 1st of Jan and 1st of Feb. Tried rebooting the nanosuit and that didn't work either. Will try on the 1st of March before i delete all saved game data and start over.

Still glitched for me even deleted all data on my console and cleared my cashe and nothing damn game.

I just got this achievement after trying just about everything. It popped after I played a single TDM, 1 year and 23 days after I first played online.

The achievement just unlocked for my friend today on his first game of the day (He started multiplayer 01/08/12 and got it today 08/14/12). The last time he tried was July 11th, but it didn't seem to unlock.

He played TDM, on his original save file (Level 50, no reset), was in the lobby before the game started and managed to get the final kill cam. Hopefully something from this helps in others finding out a way to get the achievement.

Unlocked for me on Sept 1, 2012 which was a little over a year from 1st game online. I started playing again in Feb of this year which makes me wonder if the counter reset with the new year or a patch. Good luck to anyone still waiting for this one. It popped on TDM

looking at most people's stats pages it seems this cheev unlocks 6 months after your first online WIN and not 6 months after first online game. Anyway i hope so. if this is the case mine will unlock on 24 Dec 2012

I got mine today, 10 and a half months after playing my first game. Been playing a game every week since June to get it to unlock and it popped by surprise today. To say I was happy was an understatement

I know the achievement is suppose to appear after 6 months from when you first play online, but is it true that if i appear a few days to early I have to wait another 6 months? Just had this pop for me today. First played online in March. Not played MP since then. Put the disc in, finished a game and it pops at the end. Game was running from the disc as had uninstalled from my HD. Kept my saved file and title update on my HD the whole time.

i first played in march 2011 and its now sept 2013 AND I STILL AINT GOT THE CHEVO!! :(

Hey, thought I'd add my 2 pennies.
- Got this 6 months and 13 days after my first online multiplayer match.
- Since the first of a month was getting so much luck I changed my time zone on the 2nd to make it the 1st and it worked on the first match.
- I got put straight into the match (didn't play from the beginning).
- Got my achievement in the loading screen afterwards.

The time zone thing might of been a coincidence but it's worth a shot if you're on the 2nd. GL!

Just saying, the host even migrated mid match and we got another that very game. Thought it would fuck things up but surprisingly didn't. ^_^

Just noticed something interesting. I first played the three multiplayer matches 12 months ago. Last night I started single-player on a different xbox. No achievement, this morning I used the original xbox and played one multiplayer game. Achievement popped after one match.

The achievement only unlocks after playing a mutiplayer match, it has nothing to do with single player.

Nah the IP really doesn't matter my IP changes 3-4 times a Month so that can't be it.
Me and my Boosting Buddies we all had the Limited Edition with the Code (for our Main Accounts) and not a Single Achievement was Glitched for us.
I used the Game on Demand Version for my Dummy Account so let me take a look if the Achievement pops for him or not.

Edit: Achievement popped for my Dummy Account using the Game on Demand Version on my 2nd Console.

Then it's probably glitched for the disc version of the game. I have a dummy account that started on February and it didn't get the achievement.

Just unlocked this just now. I'm pretty sure the scanner works in months, not days. I first played online 28th March, so I should of unlocked it on 28th September. No matter what I tried it didn't unlock until the 1st October. If all else fails, wait until the new year.

I just wanted to state that the "play on the first day of the year" trick worked out for me. Just started the game around the 27th dec 2016, and a few days later my Dedication achievement unlocked after a match of IA on impact, on the first of january 2017 :)

The first time I played more than a year ago. I started the boosting level with people from sessions on TA. Although the first achievement in the game I received on February 9, 2016. Achievement did not pop even after 20+ TA boosting sessions in march and april 2017. But I got it together with "Crysis, What Crysis?" And "Toled Up" :/ so glitched game...

What if I would play my first online game today, and then play it every day for six months? Would that work or am I not allowed whatsoever to touch the online part for six months?

Started playing 29 December 17, played 3 games of Instact Action to pop the Try Me Achievement. Played again on 01 January 18, played one game of Instact Action and popped Dedication. No issues at all. Played normal edition digital version.

Started playing May 1st 2016, still no dedication unlocked. :( I've started trying the first of every month, hopefully it unlocks before the servers shut down in October 2018.

Completed three Live matches on " 14 April 12" and just started boosting this game. Achievement didn't unlock after more than 6 years!

I'm just over 6 months since first playing an online match and played today with a dummy account (using the glitch to start a match 1v1)

My achievement didn't unlock but my dummy account which had never played the game before unlocked it as soon as the match finished - very annoying

So how does one start a match 1v1? I should be able to unlock this having played it at launch but very much doubt anyone would still be playing to find a game legit. Can anyone help?

I'm bemused with this achievement. I played this a fair bit back in the day but my save data was on my old 360. I glitched into a lobby with one other guy in January to start my countdown, the other guy received the achievement just fine. I now return over 6 months later and glitch into one again, but nothing unlocks. This game is a pain!

Update: I've tried a couple more times since the above comment, still no achievement. Totally broken ☹️

Just wondering. Have you tried playing a regular non glitch lobby yet with 6 players? If that also doesn't work try again after new years.

For anyone wondering if you played a match a couple years ago then came back to your account as level 1 you will still unlock the achievement after playing a match (We played the glitched private one)

OMG!!!!

I just unlocked 'Tooled up' achievement which was glitched for me. I boosted up from rank 46 to rank 50 to then be able to reboot my nanosuit again. I did this and then boosted up to rank 26 via the glitch lobby (and was able to change time limit to 30 mins) once this game finished, the achievement unlocked for me instantly once the scoreboard came up. I doubt you have to get to rank 26, likely just to the rank that gives you 2 weapon tokens (rank 8 i think) to make the 22 weapons stats even though theres only 20 base game weapons and 2 weapon skins via the limited edition copy (EA play digital copy see's the game as the limited edition version hence this issue I believe) then achievement would unlock. I ranked up as much as possible thinking I would have to atleast get to rank 43 to attempt the weapon unlock glitch and possibly reboot nanosuit again.

Quick note about nanosuit reboot, you can only do a nanosuit reboot 5 times. Once you have rebooted 5 times you can no longer reboot your nanosuit and therefore might block you entirely out of getting tooled up achievement if you require to reboot your nanosuit.

This shows that if you don't have 'dedication' achievement and is glitched for you as well as the 'tooled up' achievement is glitched, the dedication achievement can block 'tooled up' achievement from unlocking as dedication achievement hasn't been unlocked.

If you can't unlock 'tooled up' and you still don't have dedication unlocked then I suggest you wait till you get dedication to unlock which might require the use of the end of year/start of year glitch which nearly always guarantees to unlock dedication achievement.

After my first attempt at doing dedication and tooled up achievements using backwards compatible digital copy via EA play and it glitching on me and then doing a nanosuit reboot and both still locked for me on digital copy even after ranking up to rank 46 and attempting the weapon unlock glitch again but didn't do anything.
I decided to buy a physical copy (not limited edition copy) and to only use my xbox 360 (premium) from then on. I gave up for some time with playing once or so every month to attempt to see if i could unlock dedication and was possibly 4-6 months of not touching it and then decided to play a match on 03/12/23 and finally dedication achievement unlocked which I wasn't expecting as was expecting to have to do the year glitch - There is thought that dedication is more likely to unlock on 1st of the month and other hypothesis' but no one knows how the game counts the months so either keep trying or wait for end of year glitch (31st December/1st January (of the new year)).
I finally got round to ranking up using the lobby glitch to boost my rank via double boxing - I got to rank 50 and rebooted nanosuit again, this is all while playing on xbox 360 with a physical crysis 2 copy with my main account on the xbox 360 then went from rank 1 to rank 26 and achievement for tooled up unlocked once game finished and showed the scoreboard for the finished game with no need to unlock any weapons at the main menu.

I suggest to just use the xbox 360 and a physical copy (not limited edition) if at all possible to lower your risk significantly of either of these achievements glitching on you and having to go through my ordeal although they can still likely glitch on you anyway.

My journey -
Officially started online on 17th November 2023 on digital copy via EA play on Xbox Series X - 10 months from this date.

Reminder for "Dedication" if months reset due to reboot of nanosuit on 17th June 2023 - 3 months. 6 months is on 17th December 2023 (or 1st December 2023 if only counts 1st of the month).

Tooled up also glitched on me and might not unlock until "Dedication" achievement has unlocked for me - Might unlock after playing another game online once "Dedication" unlocked.

Rebooted nanosuit (once) on 17th June 2023 using digital copy via EA play on Xbox Series X and ranked up to rank 46. Weapon unlock token glitch didn't work.

Bought Crysis 2 standard copy on 18th June 2023 and only played on xbox 360 since and from now on.

Played glitched lobby (with my 2nd console, xbox one via BC) on 01/09/23 and Dedication didn't unlock still after match (nor Tooled up).

Next attempt likely is to play on 1st December, failing still, the year glitch where I will play again on 31st December and again on 1st January 2024 preferably with a full 6 player lobby minimum.


I post this to help anyone who has these issues with these 2 glitched achievements and hope this will help someone else who had issues like me as theirs not much info on the internet or even on TA guides so thought i'd share my journey that might help someone else resolve it for them like I worked out how to resolve it for myself.

Finally Finished with MP for this game on 30/12/23.

Can confirm playing in December of one year & then playing in January of the next year. I played in a private match using the public glitch. Played on 12/31/2023 & 1/2/2024 and the achievement unlocked after the match.

yeah from what i can tell, i think it may only be online games that count, i don't think it's taken from the first time you played the main game

EA better give a lot of notice before they shut down the servers on this one. I'm gonna play one game online, wait six months, play a second game online and hopefully unlock this as my first achievement, then actually play the game...

I noticed it seems like people are starting to unlock this achievement w/ online timestamps. Can it be legitimately unlocked now? I decided to load it up and my stats were reset back to lvl 1. When I played this game earlie for single and multiplayer, it was on an older elite xbox, the disc drive died on me so I bought a new one. I didn't think to back up my save since I was pretty much done with the game and mp stats are usually saved online. played a mp game on the new xbox from start to finish and nothing happened. I'm worried now that the Crysis 2 servers think that that game was my 1st and I'll have to wait another 6 monthes for this damn achievement. Any thoughts?

Anyone who buys another crytek game after this is a sucker.

I have a few thoughts as to why Dedication isn't unlocking.

1. The thing is just glitched and it's not a problem on our end (though the fact that some people are unlocking the achievement would seem to contradict this idea).

2. The 'countdown clock' is within your save file. If you deleted or overwrote your save file at any point, the countdown is reset to zero.

3. When MP stats are reset, it also resets the countdown clock. When I did some CTR boosting to go towards level 50 back in May, most of my MP stats were reset including Skill Kills, etc. I'm not sure if my achievement has glitched on me yet (my 6 months is due tomorrow), but this could also contribute to a restarting of the countdown clock in which case my new '6 months' will be on the 27th of November (instead of September 25th).

Just a few ideas I had. If anyone else has any other theories, please post.

^ Out of curiosity, I asked the only person I know for whom it unlocked, and it turns out hadn't used the LE code.
It still seems strange that only 1% of gamers would have it unlocked (I would highly doubt 99% of people had/bothered to use the code), but that some people are simply disinterested or haven't gotten around to hopping back on the game could possibly account for that difference...

Either way, Crytek better fix this quickly, otherwise I hope sales of the 360 port of the original Crysis are dismal and they learn a valuable lesson about disappointing previous customers RIGHT before the release of a new product.

Guys i just got this achievement. I couldn't believe it at first, but yes it is true.

What i've done:
I've played a full match of Team Deathmatch(started from the MP-Lobby with the countdown) and it popped right after the match ends in the black screen.

My stats:
- Played my first game online 22 March 2011
- Bought the Limited Edtion, entered the code and gone straight to Level 5
- I DID NOT reboot my nanosuit
- Boosted only a couple of levels, not the full 50
- I registered @ MyCrysis.com
- I changed my Xbox in May, but transfered the licences
- I've never deleted any Data from Crysis 2
- I've played in the Beta
- Never had any glitches in Singleplayer or Multiplayer

I suggest you dont give up and just play a few more matches today and maybe tommorow. I was about to give up too, but i decided to give this game a last chance today and voila...

It finally unlocked for me on October 1st. Bought and played the game on March 23rd, and even got that achievement same day.. tried 6 months later didn't pop till now. I have the LE game and used the code to jump to level 5 as well. I was able to obtain it playing a full game of team instant action, started out in the lobby to gather players before game started, when the game was complete it unlocked.

The screwed up thing is Crytek knows they fucked up, yet still they do nothing. I guess they feel that the hardcore gamers such as ourselves are the minority, and do not matter. They probably think pissing us off won't have major consequences for their business.

The thing that really annoys me, is it seems to me that this should be an easy fix or patch yet still nothing. Valve released a patch for L4D fixing some stat resets and giving achievements to their community as an apology for their mistake. Valve may be very slow when it comes to releasing games and addons, but at least they respect their community and try to fix their mistakes.

I have attempted to get answers at mycrisis.com, but there is not much help over there. I think that maybe if you all continue having problems with this game and achievement, that you should go over to mycrisis.com as well and try to make our voices heard.

I think 25% is way too generous of a number. Only 3% of people have unlocked it here on TA, a site dedicated to achievement hunters. I'm pretty sure that percentage would go down factoring gamers not on this site too. They just need to patch it where everyone gets it regardless of playing time as an apology. I remember Valve issued a patch that gave 1 or 2 achievements for free and gave alot of their customers stats back as an apology for screwing up their stat tracking when they released an addon for L4D.

I will add that a week prior to unlocking "dedication" I signed up for a mycrysis account. A week later, I played one online match and the achievement unlocked after the match. Not sure if registering an account makes a difference to it unlocking. Hope this helps someone.

It seems to be unlocking a lot more now, but ive been trying for a straight month a few matches a night and still nothing.. what the hell is going on? ive done everything that everyones said and still nothing, it wouldnt have anything to do with xbox live gold membership at all would it? coz i have the free month from Grand theft auto lol

I got the update today and the achievement unlocked, was probably not related to the patch though, I got lucky I guess. It unlocked for me almost exactly 6 months after I reached level 50 (legit I might add).

i am in the same position. i dont want to prestige so i have been running around every match without getting a kill for almost a month now. i should have unlocked it on September 28th but obviously i didnt. does anyone know if you have to get a kill in the match in order for the achievement to pop? also does anyone know if prestiging resets the time?

It finally unlocked for me today! I saw a few posts over on xbox360achievements.org saying they had luck today, so I decided to try it. I'll also repost this information:

1) It should have unlocked for me on September 30th
2) I used a limited edition code
3) I switched Xbox's from a repaired Pro to the Gears 3 Slim in September
4) I never signed up for MyCrysis
5) I boosted most of my rank during the double XP weekend
6) I never rebooted

The last time I tried was on November 3rd. Good luck to everyone else!

This is what worked for me personally. I kept trying repeatedly to get this to unlock, even tried playing on the 1st of January like most people suggested and kept trying with no results. I even rebooted my suit and nothing helped. At this point I went and deleted the Crysis 2 save data from my xbox and started up the game one more time so it would generate a save for me. This was on the 4th of April. I figured their patch where they fixed this achievement wasn't retroactive so if you had saves from before they would still be broken. Sure enough, I played a game today and it unlocked on the first try.

Well, all I can say is this. Whoever started the game this year like myself might not get the achievement. I started the MP during January and played today (as of this post) and no achievement, which was very disappointing.

I'm starting to believe that the game tracks your progress by your IP address, so if it changes during your waiting period it completely screws you over. When it's a new year it looks only for when you started the game with your profile to fix the tracking issue. I might be wrong but it seems a reasonable theory to me. My IP changed a few times since I started this game, I tried using my old save and also a new save but no achievement.

Start the game and get the achievement "Try me" from 2018/12/31, get "Dedication" on 2019/01/01, nice done hahaha.

I use regular disk (not limited edition) and my dummy use digital download game, we all get it.

I finally unlocked dedication achievement on 3rd December. I used a glitched lobby playing extraction game mode. Played a 2nd game but 'All tooled up' didn't unlock after the 2nd game. I have only rebooted once and at rank 46 as took a break until dedication unlocked. Now it has I will look to get this glitched achievement to unlock using weapon glitch method after rebooting suit again and then ranking up after another suit reboot if needed.

Well it's now the 26th and I think it's safe to say that my "Dedication" is glitched too. Tried everything. Played all different gametypes, tried being MVP in all gametypes, tried doing absolutely nothing during a whole match, tried getting no deaths, tried playing a game with the default classes (Assault was the first I ever played as), tried playing a game from the very start, tried joining half way in, nothing. Pretty annoyed at this.

I really enjoyed this game and was lucky enough to have none of the other achievements glitch on me, but I guess many of us had to run out of luck sooner or later. I'll try again on the 1st of October and if it doesn't work, I'll be shelving the game until a patch is hopefully released. If Crytek doesn't correct this problem, I just won't ever buy another one of their games that has achievements/trophies in it. Their total lack of any kind of response to their customers is inexcusable.

Just got it today, I can confirm it does NOT have to be exactly 6 months. My first match was on May 27th (as shown by the date stamp for "Try Me.") and I was able to unlock it today Nov. 1st. This means you only have to wait for the 6th month after first playing and not 6 months to the day.

Some info:

Got the achievement after playing one team instant action match. My team lost. I joined in the middle of the game.

I never did a nanosuit reboot and still had my level 50 character.

i never played the beta.

I never had any limited edtion codes put in or anything.

I did not download any of the DLC.

No other achievements glitched on me in this game, not even Tooled Up.

The last time I actually played Crysis 2 was June 10th to finish the supersoldier playthrough. i have not put the game in my xbox since then until today Nov. 1st. I had to title update upon bootup.

Good luck to anyone going for this and above all keep trying. I've had a few friends who had to keep playing even after 6 months to the day for the achievement. They played 1 game a day until it popped. From what I've read about this achievement, it seems like it's down to luck; you'll either get it your first game, later on, or not at all and there seems to be no consistency between the 3 groups

and I was due to get it Jan 8th.

Finally unlocked for me on January 1st 2011 (just over 9 months) It seems like the server/stats reset to remove boosters was the reason this was not unlocking - i'm glad this is over with.

supposed to get mine in august, so i took a break. went to play it today, and got it no problem. there's a new update, so that might have been to fix it.

I did not mean to play on a different xbox, It's just that I was already signed in on that one at the time and didn't think it would matter if I played on the same xbox or not.

same date as me march 26 i unlocked try me.did not have the code from pre-order so i started from rank0 but mine glitched for sure .its now 28th september and still nothing.i give up.1 more try on october first but then i will wait for a patch or more info on what is wrong with it.if only someone from crytec or EA would post something on mycrysis but my guess is they have no clue and probably dont give a shit lol...

Others have confirmed receiving the achievement after Rebooting, so that should not be a contributing factor.

S*ck my a** crysis 2 I have played a game every day for 1 week and now it does 6 months and week and I still don't have it.

On the Crysis 2 forum page, they have acknowledged the problem,but they dont have any new information, and are talking to their developers about it. Still, while I wasnt affected by the other glitches, they couldnt be assed fixing the other ones, so I dont see why they will be bothered about this one.

Hopefully mine will pop on 7th october but i will try on 1st :)

yeah, that's absolutely true. they should've tested. they worked on a patch for the pc version because it was broken right after the release - but they never fixed their bad net-code or even the music going crazy right when you get to the loading screen. i would've loved this game if it wasn't a mess like this... oh, btw - i got it today - 2 days after my first online achievement... out of nowhere...

Can confirm this works sorta... was bugged for me on the day I was SUPPOSE to get it. Unlocked first game I played today (October 1st). Now I can get rid of this horrible game.

My brother unlocks it yesterday but for me is still glitched. He only plays two matches in "instant action team" and when he finished the second match the achievement was unlock automatically.

I got the achievement a week later than when i was supposed to get it.
I had the unlock all weapons and complete the game on super soldier achievements glitch on me. hopefully they release a patch for all the people that are having problems getting this achievement.

if anyone wants to try this i dont think clearing system cashe works. You have to go onto memory, then game and delete it there. Hope this works or can fix

You can't play online without the patch. Duh.

Redownload the patch is what i ment DUHHHHH. i read that could be causing problems

I played my first online game on April 26th, the achievement info says so. Playing a full game today, on the 27th, didn't unlock it. Why is this

I got the achievement last night, first online for me was just over 6 months ago.....i had to play the entire night before it would unlock, i dont know if this is coincidence but
i got a dogtag for drunk and disorderly (be in bottom third for 3 games in a row after 11:30) after the game finished, and with that, i also got the achievement, i had played for about 8 games, got a higher level, unlocked a new gun, and these didnt help, so it may have something to do with cryteks servers recognising about you getting a medal!

just a thought.

^^^ Not true, Last night was my first time playing in a few months, It has been well over 6 months since my first online game since I played this game pretty much day of realease and the achievement unlocked right after my first game last night!

That is also untrue, I unlocked "try me" on May 2nd or 3rd and have been playing a match or 2 a day for just about every day since Nov.2 and the achievement has not unlocked. I have been at lvl 50, avoiding prestiging and have unlocked every other achievement with no problems. There only seems to be one root of the problem...the achievement is glitched and we are all at the mercy of Crytek to fix it.

i am in the same position. i dont want to prestige so i have been running around every match without getting a kill for almost a month now. i should have unlocked it on September 28th but obviously i didnt. does anyone know if you have to get a kill in the match in order for the achievement to pop?

This was actually the very first achievement I got in Crysis 2.

@ Foerl : I didn't have any other achievement glitch, but yet I have the dedication issue. So I doubt it is tied to that. Bottom line: Crytek should have thoroughly tested their achievements. And here we are....Even so, it shouldn't be that difficult for them to release a patch that corrects whatever is going on.

didnt get mine on the first, but will try the date im suppost to get it (7th). i think the patch may be causeing some problems. Me and a friend was boosting the game and we BOTH didnt get the achievement Dressed to Kill which isnt even a glitched achievement. When i got to 45 my Tooled up glitched also but before he was 45 he deleted his patch and reinstalled it. He then got all of his achievements after that when he was suppost to. I did the same and got my lv 50 and prestiged and got tooled up. This could be a factor affecting the cheevs

It's just luck, me and a friend (GrLffin) were playing last night and he unlocked it and I didn't. I started a week before he did, have a higher rank, more weapons unlocked etc. I also had "Tooled Up" glitch on me so maybe that has something to do with it. Still bullshit though.

It finally unlocked for me today! I saw a few posts over on xbox360achievements.org saying they had luck today, so I decided to try it. I'll also repost this information:

1) It should have unlocked for me on September 30th
2) I used a limited edition code
3) I switched Xbox's from a repaired Pro to the Gears 3 Slim in September
4) I never signed up for MyCrysis
5) I boosted most of my rank during the double XP weekend
6) I never rebooted

The last time I tried was on November 3rd. Good luck to everyone else!

Just got it today, I can confirm it does NOT have to be exactly 6 months. My first match was on May 27th (as shown by the date stamp for "Try Me.") and I was able to unlock it today Nov. 1st. This means you only have to wait for the 6th month after first playing and not 6 months to the day.

Some info:

Got the achievement after playing one team instant action match. My team lost. I joined in the middle of the game.

I never did a nanosuit reboot and still had my level 50 character.

i never played the beta.

I never had any limited edtion codes put in or anything.

I did not download any of the DLC.

No other achievements glitched on me in this game, not even Tooled Up.

The last time I actually played Crysis 2 was June 10th to finish the supersoldier playthrough. i have not put the game in my xbox since then until today Nov. 1st. I had to title update upon bootup.

Good luck to anyone going for this and above all keep trying. I've had a few friends who had to keep playing even after 6 months to the day for the achievement. They played 1 game a day until it popped. From what I've read about this achievement, it seems like it's down to luck; you'll either get it your first game, later on, or not at all and there seems to be no consistency between the 3 groups.
