To complete a case with 100% thorougness you will have to look absolutely everywhere. Also make sure to go all the way to the left and right of the screen to make sure you've looked at all the places. Zoom in on everything you can and then again look left and right.

Also when in the morgue and the lab, don't forget to look there too. For the morgue: Look at the table near the head of the victim. And for the Lab: look further down the hall.

As long as you keep zooming in on everything you can looking both the left and the right side you're fine. You can check your percentage when clicking the ''Case File'' tab on your PDA and check the statistics.

Out of the 5 cases which one is the best to complete this on? I have done the first 2 cases and could only get 97%.

The tray table took me from 94 to 97%

That's exactly what it was, too... the tray table in the morgue. And saving before running DNA, etc... it's tedious but you really do have to pan left and right for EVERY camera view and don't forget that tray in the morgue. (The cunning score was pretty much intuitive...but the thoroughness and skill scores can be tricky.) Then it's all 100's....

It goes without saying, that you need to look absolutely everywhere at every location within the mission, but do not forget the fixed locations for the mission (the lab, brass's office, the morgue, interrogation room and the garage).

It is worth pointing out that when you are in the lab, you need to look at/use everything in there. This includes the end of the hall way (left and right) and ALL of the tools used for analysis.

It is important to make sure that you look at the evidence board (far right of the materials lab) as well as the work top (just in front of the evidence board).

These areas are easy to miss and will add to your overall percentage.

Personally, I found that mission 5 was the best to get this achievement, as you have to visit every location that is available, increasing your chances of getting 100%. I must add though, that before going to talk to Beatriz at the end of the mission, my thoroughness was at 97%, it wasn't until I finished the conversation (and the mission) that this was bumped up to the full 100%

i have gotten 97 percent on the first four missions, i hope i can get it on this one

I had 97% on case 2, could not find the last bit I was missing, then I read your part about checking the end of the hallway in the lab, I didn’t even know you could go down the hall, that was the last 3%, thanks!

I used this video, piece by piece, and only finished with 81% skill... Played it a second time following oiece by piece what the video does, and it happened again. I don't know if anyone has had this problem as well, but after 2 playthroughs following the video piece by piece, I will try for the 90% and 100% skill achievements on another level. Everything else was great, just the skill. I'm not blaming the video, but because of 2 playthroughs with the same result I won't vote positive or negative on the solution. Thank you for posting.

In case 2 i was stuck on 92% even after looking all around the lab.. My first 2% extra was looking at evidence #1 straight infront of you in the L'avventura Lobby.. Zoom into there then go up and zoom into behind that area..
Then I was stuck on 94% too.. Still in the Lobby i clickd on The CSI taking photos behind the cactus bed that took me to 97%.. Then went to the L'avventura Hotel and Casino Balcony and clickd on him again to take my to 100%!!

I don't take credit for this but if you are stuck on 97% on a few cases like me it may be worth going to the morgue.

Click on the small tray table to the right on the body and this is worth 3%.

To get 100% thoroughness, you will need to visit every navigable area in a certain case You will also need to check that you have got every bit of evidence and that it has been processed fully. To check this click on the PDA and then click on the evidence icon. If you have processed the evidence fully it will have a green tick on it. You will start off at 0% thoroughness and work your way up to 100%, when you have 100% thoroughness you have found every available location and processed all of the evidence. Some evidence cannot be processed and will remain unticked. Don't worry about it though, as it won't contribute to your thoroughness percentage in anyway. Look around the CSI lab to get at least 8% thoroughness, even going straight down the corridor will add thoroughness to your percentage.

These achievements do stack so getting 100% thoroughness will get you Thorough Enough, Darn it and Close Enough Counts After All as well. To check your thoroughness percentage click on the PDA, and then go on case file, and then go on statistics. Use this guide to get this achievement easily on case 2: Guide.

Thoroughness is increased via exploration. Whenever you see an arrow, click on it to add to your current percentage. Your total percentage can be viewed by accessing your PDA, selecting Case File and Statistics. Along with the crime scenes you must also fully explore the Main Lab, Morgue, Brass' Office and the Interrogation Room. Weird, I know. Here are the places you will have to explore within each:

Main Lab

Elevator
Audio/Video Analysis
Fingerprint/Computer/Medical Analysis
Chemical/DNA Analysis
Microscope/Macroscrope/Document Analysis
Reconstruction Table
Evidence Photo Board

Morgue

Victim's Body
Tray behind victim's body

There are no additional exploration points in Brass' Office or the Interrogation Room. Just visit them.
