Treasure chests are hidden throughout the various dungeons and are usually found in crevices. Each dungeon has several to find so getting this trophy won't be too tough and you'll likely unlock it relatively early in game. Keep in mind that treasures don't respawn and some require the use of a key, which is found randomly or can be bought from Chaos Factory starting at Guild Rank 3.

As the trophy says, open a total of 50 treasure chests. There are far more than 50 treasure chests in the entire game, so you should earn this with ease if you open every chest you see. This is for actual chests. You can always buy keys from town to unlock locked chests. Gather points do not count for this trophy.
