How to unlock the Certified Double Platinum achievement in Dance Central 2 - Definitive Guide

Score at least 2,000,000 points in any solo mode performance.

Flawlessing moves gives significantly more points than Nice, which gives more points than Almost and a Fail. The multiplier seems to be inconsistent and hidden in this game.

The Gold Flashcard moves earn four times as many points as others so keep an eye out on moves to focus on.

Turning OFF Freestyle Sections will add a new section into the song which also scores points. I'm not sure if keeping on this time will score points as in the last game it didn't.

Finally the Harder difficulties score much more points than lower difficulties.

Make sure to practise!

Not sure if anyone else had this "glitch" but I got over 2M on Born This Way and the achievement didn't pop even though the leaderboard on the left side of the screen showed my score of over 2M. I went into the song and checked the leaderboard from there and it was showing my previous high which was about 1,8M. I played the song again and got about 1.9M then the achievement popped. Not sure if it was a server synch type issue.

Just wanted to say that the achievement only says "solo score". Nothing is said about a solo mode. As proof, I got this today after scoring over 2,000,000 in a 2-player Perform It game of "Like a G6". My score was 2,000,000, not the co-op score.

I got this simply by doing the first song "Sandstorm" on easy with I think with roughly 90% flawless. Make sure to do break it down if you're having difficulty. Also got the "Gold Digger" this way as well.

What was your score on this song ? My points were just a little bit over 2 M and of course I got the cheevo, but no gold stars...I missed like, one move (yellow rating).

This achievement can just come naturally if you're doing the Crew Challenges on any of the Difficulties. There are about 15-18 different songs you can do this on but overall the achievement is not really hard to get. Just make sure you memorize the moves well and make sure you nail the dance moves that have the x4 multiplier.

I got this achievement today on "Nothing On You" on easy mode.

All of the moves are really simple and mainly involve stepping from side to side or bouncing on the spot while moving your arms. The song has good rhythm and a pace which is easy to keep up with.

It took me two attempts with this song, the first I came close at 1,985,000 and the second time I went well over 2,000,000 earing both this achievement and the "Gold Digger" achievement at the same time.

Bonus of this song is that it is quite laid back so even if you do need multiple attempts you wont be worn out ;) and of course you can always use Break it Down mode if you need to.

This can be done in any game mode (Perform It, Fitness mode, or Crew Challenge). Simply get 2,000,000 points on a single song. Don't fear: points aren't nearly as hard to come by as Dance Central. Even on easy, 2,000,000 points is possible. "Hot Stuff" by Donna Summer on easy is a sure way to get this achievement, and "Nothin' on You" is another song where well over 2,000,000 points is possible on easy. You'll likely also get Gold Stars along the way. Be sure to nail the yellow flashcards for 4x the points. Songs in Crew Challenges will increase your odds of getting over 2,000,000 points even more, since the freestyle section is removed and replaced with more moves, give you more opportunities to increase your score. You can also disable the freestyle section in Options so you can play Perform It mode without the freestyle bit.

Unlocking this achievement will unlock the Neon Tee avatar award.
