You must achieve 5 stars on each of the songs in the Hi-Def set on Hard. The achievement will stack so if you 5 star all of the songs on Hard you will unlock Medium and Easy as well.

Mai Ai Hee [1]
This Is How We Do It [2]
I Wish For You [4]
You're a Jerk [3]
Sexy Chick [7]
Yeah! [5]
Technologic [6]
Somebody To Love [6]
** Unlocked after 16 stars.
It is worth noting that some of the songs are VERY difficult on hard, particularly in this set list, so don't overwork yourself!

Can you just play the song in Preform it or does it have to be done in the Crew Challenge? Ive only been playing it at my friends house and I plan to actually get the game so I never touch Crew Challenge, is it any different from Preform it?

Yes you must do these achievements under Crew Challenge.
