When playing a song, each song will take 17 photos; 16 during the freestyle and one on the finish. Obviously, make sure you haven't turned off the photos in the options!
It should be noted that Crew Challenges DON'T have a freestyle section and so you will only clock up one photo per song while playing those.
Going off just playing songs normally, it will take 59 tracks to pop this achievement.

Just want to add that I got this around two and a half hours of playtime.

Pick the longest playlist and let it track a lamp or something. Each song gives you 17 photos. You can afk it this way.

Photos are taken during the freestyle section of songs, and then one during the finishing move. Playing a song in Perform It or Fitness mode will get you 17 photos per song. There are no freestyle sections in the Crew Challenges, so you'll only be getting 1 photo per song. There are over 40 songs in the game, so the best way to unlock this is to practice learning songs on Hard in Perform It mode in preparation for the Crew Challenges. That way, you get a lot more photos per song than practicing in Crew Challenge mode.
