How to unlock the Consistent Performers achievement in Dance Central 3 - Definitive Guide
Did this really easy today with my 7 year old daughter. We were playing story mode together on beginner and did the YMCA dance. There's a finger wag move that goes on for a while and it's so easy the achievement popped after the first set of that move.
I've heard this achievement can be buggy, but I wasn't even trying to get this achievement with my kid when we got it. So if you've tried to get this achievement in party mode and what have you, start a story mode and when you're transported to the 70s try out YMCA on beginner with a partner and see if it doesn't work for you :)

Did you try doing this in story mode? I didn't even know this achievement was buggy. I was just randomly playing with my daughter and we were playing together YMCA on story mode and that's how it popped for me ... Sucks if it doesn't work for so many people though,

I was told it is to be done on Party Mode.

This achievement is buggy, very buggy. It pops at different times during different methods of people attempting this achievement. I strongly advise to read the comment section as it will prove that there are contradicting ways of unlocking this achievement.
The best advise I can give you is trying the achievement in this order.
1. Start a 2-player game in the preform menu, basically the song select menu. Have both players stand in front of the TV during the character select screen so that it recognises you both. Both play on the same difficulty, BUT NOT ON BEGINNER. If the achievement doesn't pop during or after the song, try the next option.
2. Do the same as step 1 but this time play it in party mode. Party mode can be accessed trough the main menu. Then go into the options screen(while still being in party mode) by pressing 'Y'. Select "Preform" as your only game mode. Now back out of the options menu and start the song by giving your co-op partner a high five as instructed by the game. Now after the first five moves, this achievement popped for me. My partner and I both got the first five moves flawless. Again, if you didn't get the achievement during or after the song, check the next step.
3. Ok, now we start going into speculation territory. As the achievement popped for me doing the above steps, I personally can't help any further. I do have some ideas that might work for you.
- Try different songs. You have three types of songs. DC3 songs, DC Import songs and DLC songs. Try to play different types as that might work for you.
- Try different difficulty's. Try going on Hard and your partner on easy, or just any combination(even two on beginner might work).
- If all the above doesn't work for you I have one final tip. Try recovering your account or attempt the achievement on a different console. You can also try the select a different device or remove your save file and then attempt it again. Remember that this a all just speculation as this achievement is buggy. Look out that you don't accidentally remove your save file and such things.
Finally, if nothing worked at all, try mimicking what has worked for others that posted it in the comment section. I wish you good luck with this buggy achievement.

You did it in party mode with a second player? Make sure youare playing on preform and not battle. If both you and your partner get either five nices or perfect in a ro it should pop. Try to get perfect as thats what got me the achievement.

This requires a second person. A fake person will not work.
In order to unlock this, you will need to score the same rating as your partner (Flawless, Nice or Almost) on 5 consecutive moves. Since miss no longer counts as a rating, you will need an actual person attempting the routine. The easiest song on disc is YMCA, but if you have Dance Central 1, you can import Pokerface by Lady Gaga, which consists of a lot of consecutive side to side steps at a slow pace.
