How to unlock the Consistent Performers achievement in Dance Central 3 - Definitive Guide

Did this really easy today with my 7 year old daughter. We were playing story mode together on beginner and did the YMCA dance. There's a finger wag move that goes on for a while and it's so easy the achievement popped after the first set of that move.

I've heard this achievement can be buggy, but I wasn't even trying to get this achievement with my kid when we got it. So if you've tried to get this achievement in party mode and what have you, start a story mode and when you're transported to the 70s try out YMCA on beginner with a partner and see if it doesn't work for you :)

Did you try doing this in story mode? I didn't even know this achievement was buggy. I was just randomly playing with my daughter and we were playing together YMCA on story mode and that's how it popped for me ... Sucks if it doesn't work for so many people though,

I know but my solution was to do it in Story Mode. That is what I did that is why I posted it. That's how I popped it with my daughter,

Anyway, I finally got the achievement. I did your method by dancing Y.M.C.A. because on that day, my cousin from out of town came to help. Thank goodness that is out of the way.

This achievement is buggy, very buggy. It pops at different times during different methods of people attempting this achievement. I strongly advise to read the comment section as it will prove that there are contradicting ways of unlocking this achievement.

The best advise I can give you is trying the achievement in this order.
1. Start a 2-player game in the preform menu, basically the song select menu. Have both players stand in front of the TV during the character select screen so that it recognises you both. Both play on the same difficulty, BUT NOT ON BEGINNER. If the achievement doesn't pop during or after the song, try the next option.

2. Do the same as step 1 but this time play it in party mode. Party mode can be accessed trough the main menu. Then go into the options screen(while still being in party mode) by pressing 'Y'. Select "Preform" as your only game mode. Now back out of the options menu and start the song by giving your co-op partner a high five as instructed by the game. Now after the first five moves, this achievement popped for me. My partner and I both got the first five moves flawless. Again, if you didn't get the achievement during or after the song, check the next step.

3. Ok, now we start going into speculation territory. As the achievement popped for me doing the above steps, I personally can't help any further. I do have some ideas that might work for you.

- Try different songs. You have three types of songs. DC3 songs, DC Import songs and DLC songs. Try to play different types as that might work for you.

- Try different difficulty's. Try going on Hard and your partner on easy, or just any combination(even two on beginner might work).

- If all the above doesn't work for you I have one final tip. Try recovering your account or attempt the achievement on a different console. You can also try the select a different device or remove your save file and then attempt it again. Remember that this a all just speculation as this achievement is buggy. Look out that you don't accidentally remove your save file and such things.

Finally, if nothing worked at all, try mimicking what has worked for others that posted it in the comment section. I wish you good luck with this buggy achievement.

You did it in party mode with a second player? Make sure youare playing on preform and not battle. If both you and your partner get either five nices or perfect in a ro it should pop. Try to get perfect as thats what got me the achievement.

We have. On Party. On multiple songs. Maybe it's because we're doing it on Beginner? Did you do it on Beginner or a harder difficulty?

They achievement doesn't state a different difficulty but you might as well want to try it on higher difficulty. I don't remember on what I did it but I think that it was on easy.

Yeah, I did it on beginner with party mode, perform it, we both got 11 flawless in a row and nothing. I will try it on easy and let you know but beginner doesn't work.

Well, if Easy doesn't work either INCANTATI0N then it's not the difficulty. Who knows? I'll try also when my wife gets home.

I have data for ya! Me and my wife just turned the game on and got it on the first try. Dance -> Perform -> "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" (Dance Central 1) -> Easy. Got it within 6 moves. So, yeah, it does NOT HAVE TO BE PARTY (which I kind of figured anyway). And, it apparently can't be on Beginner.

I tried to get the achievement on normal performance mode, on poker face, hich is DC1 too. Me friend and I were playing in easy and it did not pop. I did when we played it in party mode. Now we know that this achievement is buggy and so I will make an appeal to add the buggy flag.

I'm sure you can get it in both Party and Perform. Just not only Party. I tried it again on two different profiles and another song and it worked again. =D

Very strange, it really did not unlock in normal mode for me. Maybe it is just random everytime.

I got this in Perform today with a friend. We picked Poker Face from DC1, both on easy and the achievement unlocked on the side step move after repeating five of them. I didn't bother attempting on beginner based on what Fire Hawk D said but I got this achievement first time no problem.

This achievement is glitched. I tried everything from Better Off Alone on Beginner with a stick figure and myself. It doesn't work. Even after getting 5 Nice in a row, it doesn't unlock even in Party Mode. Folks, Consistent Performer is no longer obtainable. I cannot unlock it because I am better off alone. No songs allows standing still for Flawless 5 times in a row. I have all 44 achievements to be honest. Sorry.

This achievement is still obtainable, as people are still unlocking it as of writing this comment. Just because you can't get an buggy achievement doesn't mean it's unobtainable. Try playing on easy difficulty instead, and try to get flawless moves instead of nice. As this is a buggy achievement you just have to keep trying new things and it will eventually pop someday.

Also, giving my solution a thumbs down even though this achievement is buggy, I will now edit my solution to state that it actually is. I thought people read comments on a solution before just thumbing down. I am not a game developer so it's not my fault this achievement is buggy.

I don't want to be an asshole or anything but if you can't get a second person to play with you, you can't even technically unlock the achievement at all. I used the chair trick for all multiplayer achievements. It worked for all of them, except this one. I am altering my solution right now just so that everyone clearly knows that this achievement is very buggy and try to present some workarounds for this. I hope that you can thumbs up me then instead of thumbs downing me as it isn't my fault that this achievement sucks.

It's not your fault at all, DGC. I just don't like when achievements get vandalized by a glitch.

I look at glitched achievements as vandalism.

DGC, I cannot do that. None of my friends are dancers. None of them can do it Flawlessly 5 times in a now. No songs I play have a standing still move that allows Flawless 5 times. None of them on Easy. Even all DLCs. What Makes You Beautiful, Airplanes, Lights, Let It Roll, Call Me Maybe, Gangnam Style, Euphoria, Twisted, Glad You Came

But then why do you negative vote the solution?

Because I thought your description was a little unclear leading me to believe what I thought it was when you said misleading.

This requires a second person. A fake person will not work.

In order to unlock this, you will need to score the same rating as your partner (Flawless, Nice or Almost) on 5 consecutive moves. Since miss no longer counts as a rating, you will need an actual person attempting the routine. The easiest song on disc is YMCA, but if you have Dance Central 1, you can import Pokerface by Lady Gaga, which consists of a lot of consecutive side to side steps at a slow pace.
