How to unlock the Really Nice Moves achievement in Dance Central 3 - Definitive Guide

Because you will more likely focus on getting flawless moves in Dance Central, this achievement can be quite the grind. You will probably have to 'boost' the majority of this achievement because completing the game and obtaining most other achievements will only net you around 1,000-3,000 Nice moves.

As far as I know, there in not a single way in which to game keeps track of the amount of moves you have performed and neither does the facebook app. If anyone does know if the game tracks moves, please comment on the solution so that I can add it.

An 'easy' way of boosting this achievement is to play the song 'stereo love' on easy difficulty. Try do to only parts of the moves end you are likely to get Nice most of the time. Practise really makes perfect here as this song will net you around 50-60 nice moves each time you play it when you get it down. Create a 20 song setlist to minimise loading screen waiting time and you will get around 1,200 nice moves every hour. It's not ideal, but it nets the achievement faster then just playing normally.

As mentioned by Chad and Jessie: Don't forget to turn off Freeform in the options menu. By doing this, the song will have around 10 extra moves which really add up after a while. The options menu can be accessed by pressing Y in the second menu in the game.

If you havn't unlocked the OMG achievement yet, you might be better off playing that because the song is quite fast and will net you quite some nice moves every play. Downside of this is that this song is extreamly active compared to streo love on easy and it will tire you out quite fast, so I wouln'd advise it after you have the achievement OMG unlocked.

To note: The achievement doesn't unlock untill after the song is over, not after the setlist so don't worry about playing only single songs when you think that you are close.

Do you know if there's any way to check how many you already have?

I have tried to find it all over the game but could not find anything.. After that I tried finding it on the facebook app and no luck either, on song high-scores were there. The only way is to write it down after every song as far as I know. If anyone knows if you could track it, please comment so I can edit it in the solution!

Great solution. I'd like to mention that you should turn OFF 'Freeform' in the options menu. This give you about 10 more 'moves' during the usual freeform section. I have been able to consistently net 70 'Nice' moves out of a possible 76 moves in this song using this method. Hopefully this will unlock for me SOON (did the song 65 times yesterday cry).

It really starts to suck after a while, I was really done with it after 5 setlists of 20 songs.. Thanks for telling me about the freeform, I completly forgot to add that..

I found Stronger on Easy a good song to boost too. I haven't tried Stereo Love to compair but I net 20 Flawless and 40 Nice. I'll try today and update here.

Of Course there are other songs that you can boost it on, but I came up with using this song because when I played it first time it kept giving nice on one pertictular move and it kept doing that.

"In Da Club" - 50 Cent on Easy is a good one. If you just keep your legs firmly cemented to the ground and dance with just your torso you can easily net most of the moves as Nice.

Figured I'd add my advice and some statistics to the pile. I snagged this at level 43, after playing 364 songs -- your mileage will vary based on how you work your way through the game, but my rough order was 5-star everything on Hard (story mode), then the same for Medium and Easy, then grinding out the 10K Flawless (hit this at L40 and ~325 songs), then focusing on 10K Nice.

As for the most effective way to grind out "Nice" moves, I managed to get 70+ per run-through of YMCA consistently by tweaking the moves as follows:

-- Step Side & Clap: Step and clap with your hands low, instead of high
-- Suspenders: Keep feet planted and just do the arms
-- Lecture: Keep feet shoulder-width apart and step in place (i.e., don't change the position of your feet)
-- Speed blazer: Keep feet together instead of shoulder-width
-- YMCA: Keep feet planted and botch the letter 'C' by holding your right arm straight up (instead of curving it)
-- Walk: Walk in place with arms stiff at your sides

I could never get "Nice" on the finishing move -- the game was so forgiving that I got "Flawless" on this one every time even with my arms straight up and one leg up in the air :)

With the slight tweaks listed above, I was getting between 71 and 74 "Nice" moves every time.

If you have Gangmam Style as DLC, im using that one. Gets me 80nice every song. Just use your hands in the gangnam dance and youll get a nice, on easy 75% of the song is that move.

Ok, got this today. "Gangnam Style" is definitely the way to go. Around 70 Nice moves barely trying, and sometimes even up to 80.

+1 to Gangam Style. The moves are simple and there are plenty of moves in the song as said above. I just hate not knowing how close I am to finishing this.

Gangnam style is indeed a good option but some might not like it as it requires extra paid content.

I should get this one before the flawless as I am not so good at this game. I wish there was a way to see how close I am.

Read the solution, there is no way of knowing how many songs you have played.

Read the posts, J Schwizzle said " I snagged this at level 43, after playing 364 songs' I doubt he kept track of every song he played on a piece of paper. I assume he may know of a way.

Just to let people know the game does tell you how many song you have played. In the menu screen the game will scroll different stats. It takes a minute or two but it will eventually let you know how many stars earned, calories burned, songs played etc. However I do not think it tells you how many of the different moves have been made.

To give an idea of how long it took me to complete the game:
Level 36
277 songs played for Nice
295 songs played for Flawless
Used Gangam Style as the song to grind Flawless and Nice moves

Thank you for the tips J Schwizzle. YMCA is a very easy song to get "nice" moves. Got 55 on my first attempt and was able to work it up to 70-75 nice moves per song after only a few attempts.

Do you know if moves in rehearsal mode/story mode count towards the total amount of nice moves need for the achievement?

This DOES NOT stack with "Ten Large!" That means that you must get 10,000 moves where you do well enough to get a nice rating (circle turns green), but not well enough to get a flawless rating. As you play through the game, you will likely find a number of songs where you get a large number of nice moves, like Stronger or The Breaks from DC2. You can try playing these songs frequently, or you can play songs where you try to just muddle through. Some songs will give you a nice rating if you play on easy but only do hand motions without moving your feet. You will be making progress with this after every song, barring an amazing performance, so there really isn't much need to grind from this until after you have passed the 10,000 Flawless moves.

There is no way of seeing how many moves you have gotten flawless or nice on, unfortunately. However, if you sit in the main menu it will give you random stats. One of those stats is "Songs played," which will allow you to get an idea of how close you are if you have a vague idea of how many flawless/nice moves you are getting per song.
