How to unlock the Burn, Baby, Burn! achievement in Dance Central - Definitive Guide

If you set your weight really high you'll "burn" more calories.

I set my weight to 999 and toggled from lbs to kilos (use your left hand to toggle lbs/kilos at the top left corner of the screen). This should take about 20 minutes.

Couple other comments:
- calories don't count in battle mode or break it down
- this does not have to be done in one session

It's alot easier on the European version of the game because you can set it to 999kilos, I got this one before the 20min workout achievement.

I have the US version and I could still put it on 999 kilos. Maybe you can just change your location in the dashboard to UK? Thats what I have. (Although I am in Sweden.)
Took me 16 minutes to get.

Just to clarify, you can toggle between lbs and kilos in the US version (and I'm sure in any version). When turning on workout mode and inputting a weight number, use your left hand to toggle lbs/kilos at the top left corner of the screen.

The 1000 calories do NOT need to be in one session. I fooled around with workout mode last night and earned about 200 calories. Today I did a long session, and the achievement popped after 800 calories.

The first time I played this I turned to workout mode on, and burned about 400 calories. The next day
I started playing again, only this time with my girlfriends account logged in along my account. The Calories were RESET, even though I played the single player, and not Dance Battle. So be careful with that, I think it's a little glitch or something..

The calories don't count in dance battle mode or break it down mode and I've had no problem with people joining my games and having my calories reset. Just make sure you are going back to the same save device each time. (I have 2 so I have to be careful with that myself.) Also, unless this is the only achievement you plan to get, I don't know why you would need to cheat on it. It WILL pop, especially when playing on hard and on the more difficult songs, the calorie counter really stars flying much faster! Before this game this game is over, you will log much more than 1,000 calories (and probably burn way more in real life!) :)

You should edit the solution to use kilos instead of lbs. I did that and got this before I got up to the 20 minute workout achievement.

When you chose a song, after selecting the difficulty, there's a box above Flashcards for Workout Mode. Check it and enter your weight.

As you play songs, in the top left hand corner is a heartbeat with the number of calories you've burned. The total number for 1000 is cumulative so you don't need to kill yourself by jumping about for one session alone. Spread it out and it'll pop up and then you'll feel happy for getting an achievement for losing weight.

See, I was worried about this, but your advice made me feel better XD. I did one workout session and got like 400 cals burned, and thought it would save and just pop up next time. But I turned it back on and it was at 0! I was upset.

Though I probably could have just went and checked my stats and seen how many calories I've burned all together......derp.

To turn on Workout Mode, go into Perform It! Mode and select Workout Mode at the bottom. This achievement is cumulative and can be done in multiple sittings. The higher your weight the faster the calorie counter will increase, so if you want to speed up this achievement set your weight to 999lbs.
