How to unlock the Robots Doin' It for Themselves achievement in Dance Central - Definitive Guide

"Robots Doin' It for Themselves"
Successfully passed a robot move with ELIOT.

After unlocking ELIOT by finishing the final Challenge, go back and play "Push It" on Easy (or probably any difficulty). This achievement will unlock at the end of the song. You will need to "Nice" or "Flawless" the move for it to count. You MAY do this in Break It Down mode.

From comments: If Push It gives you trouble, Satisfaction will work as well. There is a move called The Robot that you must pass. Just make sure you play as ELIOT. The Final Challenge has that same Satisfaction move, as well.

Could downvoters please let me know how I can improve this? Thanks!

On a side note; I unlocked the achievement today whilst playing the Final Challenge for the first time. I passed most of the moves but I played it on easy and I am pretty sure there is no move called The Robot in the set of moves for that challenge.

Still haven't updated which move in Push it. I don't think it is there on easy either.

I do believe you have to get a "Nice" or "Flawless" for it to count.

You need to state what move in "push it" you need to pass. Like Pass the Robot in Satisfaction because the robot is a robot move. Your guide isn't clear enough.

Is there a move in Satisfaction called "pass the robot" that counts? If so, I'll put that in the solution. Thanks.

Lol it's just called "The Robot" and you must pass the move. Nice on updating your post. Positive vote :)

You can do it in the break down section if you want, a little easier and you get infinite tries. Miss and you can slow it down and practice it.

It MUST be the move called "Robot" done with ELLIOT as the avatar to count.
Note: The move "Robot" does not appear in the Easy difficulty for either Push It, Satisfaction, or Grand Finale Challenge. I have tried all three on Easy repeatedly and it simply does not appear in those songs on Easy, nor could I get the achievement under those conditions. I can comfirm "Robot" does appear in Satisfaction on Medium difficulty as that is where I earned it. It is likely that Push It and Grand Finale Challenge will have to be done on Meduim at minimum as well for the move to appear.

May I suggest reworking the solution to have all the information listed clearly without the edits. It should be fine as long as you credit people for their comments. I would also suggest using the "Notify -voters" checkbox once you are done updating.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE GRAND FINALE TO UNLOCK ELIOT. I have this achievement and have yet to complete the Grand Finale. The other way to get Eliot is to get the MAX RANK called Living Legend. My family and I have played this game so much that I was able to max my rank before even completing the game which granted me Eliot.

The move is within the Grand Finale: The first time you play as ELIOT unless you get to Rank 1: Living Legend. I got 4 stars, just short of 5 when I did this. Not sure which move it is which qualifies however. It will be one which seems robotic in nature, such as maneater (from the maneater part), plant 'n' rock (from the jungle boogie part) or electric/screw loose (from the satisfaction part - this is my best bet).

The grand finale is unlocked by completing all other challenges, individually unlocked by getting at least four stars in all songs in their sections.

I can confirm that it is not maneater or plant 'n' rock since I failed those parts of the final challence, leaving only the moves from the satisfaction part.

If you failed them Daniel that is why. The achievement states you must PASS a robot move.

Song: Satisfaction
Difficulty: Medium
Move: The Robot

You must get a green NICE or a blue FLAWLESS on the move. Easy to do, just make sure you continue through to the next move.

You have to have unlocked Elliot which you can do in two ways.

1. You can complete the Grand Finale on any difficulty

Dance CentralGrand Finale CompleteThe Grand Finale Complete achievement in Dance Central worth 138 pointsEarn 5 stars on the Grand Finale Challenge at any Skill Level.

2. You can reach Legendary Status.

Dance CentralSecret AchievementThe Secret Achievement achievement in Dance Central worth 157 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievement

It would probably be easier to complete Grand Finale on Easy, as Living legend takes a bit of time. And you do not need 5 stars to complete it, but it helps.
