How to unlock the Beat the Developers achievement in Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition - Definitive Guide

You can also enable cheat mode in the options.
With that you will have access to unlimited magic and respawn in the same room.
It does not block achievements

Does pausing to the menu still count for time during the speedrun?

I don't know, I was coming back to the title screen. A save is made at each change of room.

Hmmm...I was wondering this about the cheats. I might actually attempt to do this now, usually don't do speed runs much personally.
Also, pausing DOES seem to stop the clock. You can notice this if you activate the onscreen stats in the menu. Should be noted that bringing up the map though will continue the clock.

Yeah makes the game a breeze. Though 1 hr 17 is still quite the fast run even while invincible. I’m at 45 mins and just making my way to get pearl of dreams, seems like I could only shave 5 extra mins off max.

How do you get the invincible cheat? i don't see the option, or is it just unlimited magic and respawn in the same room?

This is not my video, but I used it to get this achievement:
I found the commentary very useful. He finished the game in 59:36. My time was around 1:04:00 and I'm what I'd consider an average platform player.

I also used it to get the following achievements:

This is the video guide I used to get this one. You can find faster speedruns on yt with less rooms visited and chests opened, granting you the "No Hand Holding" and "No Distraction" achievements at the end of your run case you succeed, but they all take riskier and harder strats and get less upgrades along the way incresing your chances to get killed.

I followed the exact same routes shown on this video and used the same strats such as which enemies to kill, which ones to skip, rooms visited and chests opened and my final time was 1:13:51. It could've been a little faster but the golden twins guarding the door on the room before the camp in Dream Lands always behave differently with me and they keep flying up and down going through the floor and the ceiling and spaming their projectiles, making the fight a lot harder so I had to fight safely and be VERY carefull not to die and return to the last checkpoint. Maybe the twin guardians adopt the same behavior when you get to this part so beware of them, it's really easy to get killed in this room.

Also I messed up and died 3 times on the first form of Eldar so that consumed like 3 min or so of my time. Aside from that the rest of the run went smoothly and I managed to beat the game in 1:13:51. All credit goes to horheristo for making the walkthrough and recording the video:

Hello Everybody, this is not my solution, I just found this video on Speedrun.com and thought it'll be nice to share. The time beaten is 49m48s.
