Now that the Trials of Fear expansion is out and included as part of the base game: you can earn this achievement as long as you don't visit the DLC area. I completed the game last night with "100%" exploration of the base game but I was able to unlock this achievement despite that fact.

Glad I saw this. Same thing happened to me. Guess I need to visit the DLC to actually get the 100% exploration achievement, yeah?

Yeah Paulygon, that seemed to have been the case when I was running through the completion last year. IIRC both the 100% chest and the 100% room achievements required me to max out the dlc.
