Quick Version: During Trials on the Kind or Hard difficulties(Hard is better for this), center the cursor on the purple phrases that pop up in Nonstop Debates and press A to fire at them to remove them. Some will break in one shot and other will take multiple hits. Equip Cheat Code and Tranquility skills if you have them to make things easier, start the Chapter 3 Trial on the Mean difficulties and use the first Nonstop Debate to grind this out. The first one has a 6 minute time limit. has 11 White Noise lines and if you hit all of them, you only lose 13 seconds per cycle, meaning that if you are perfect you can knock out almost 300 lines in about 10 minutes! Let the timer run out, hold the B button to skip the "wrong end" and it will allow you tp restart the sequence and the timer and you can repeat until the achievements pop!

Long Version:

These are for destroying 100 and 500 white noise lines in total, respectively.

White Noise lines only show up in Nonstop Debates(where everyone is saying things and you fire bullets at their weak spots) on the Normal(Kind) and Hard(Mean) difficulty levels. If you play on Easy(Gentle) you'll get the tutorial messages about when they show up and how to handle them, but you won't see any. Playing on Hard will give you more White Noise lines than playing on Normal.

White Noise lines first show up about halfway through Chapter 1's Trial, but you aren't given the ability to fire at them until about 2/3rds of the way through it. Halfway through the trial, green messages will pop up explaining what White Noise lines are but telling you that you can't do anything about them yet, and then later on, more green messages will pop up explaining that you can now shoot at them with the A button. Contrary to their name, White Noise lines are purple and are usually just scattered dialogue from the other people at the trial. Sometimes it relates to the topic at hand and can be kinda funny, but things are usually moving too quickly to pay attention to them. Similar to shooting bullets at weak points, you aim the cursor at the purple statement and simply press the A button. Some of the White Noise lines will dissipate in one hit while other can take several, and shooting these will reward you with more time as well.

If you were to play through the game on Hard and focus on the White Noise lines, you might not have to grind this out, but for those of you who played on easier difficulties, I found a very good place to grind these. I will admit there may be better places deeper into trials, but the spot I found is the first sequence in a trial, making it very quick to get to(as long as you've made it to the third trial).

Optionally, I recommend waiting until after you've completed some of the Report Cards and unlocked some of the Skills that you can equip before trials. A few of them are immensely helpful for grinding this out, specifically Tranquility(which steadies your aim and is unlocked by raising a Monokuma pet) and Cheat Code(shooting the actual story statement with a silencer gives you a time penalty and this skill removes that so you can fire at will with no worries, unlocked by finishing Chiaki's Report Card). There is a third skill from finishing Gundham's Report Card that strengthens your silencer shots but it can't be used WITH Cheat Code, and Cheat Code's negation of the time penalty helps immensely so I wouldn't bother with it. You can still do this without any skills equipped but it may be a bit more frustrating.

What we are going to do is load up the Chapter 3 Trial on Mean difficulties with whatever skills you have. The aforementioned skills will make things much easier, but you can still do this without them. It might be a little more frustrating and time-consuming but it will be possible. We are using the very first action in the Trial to grind out the Lines, so the grind is very simple. Start the trial, use the first NonStop Debate to fire at the purple lines until you run out of time, then hold B to skip the wrong end until it allows you to restart the NonStop Debate with a full 6 minutes. Simply continue to shoot until both achievements unlock! From 0 this should only take about 20-30 minutes to get 500. The tracker in this game only updates with every 25%, so every 125 white noise lines will increase it.

If you have any questions for me, please don't hesitate to ask!

Yep. I mention that in both the short and long Guides for this. They also don't show up until the game introduces them so you get used to the mechanics of the game before the difficulty jump from having to deal with the Noise lines.

Similar to the previous trophy in the first game, you have to use the Silencer feature during Class Trials to get rid of the white noise (which appears during the Kind and Mean difficulties of the game). This game is definitely more pleasant in giving you an excess number of white noise early on, even on the Kind setting, but it would still be in your best interest to use the back touchscreen of the PS Vita to clear them rather than using the front screen (or you might end up hitting an argument and costing you some seconds).
