How to unlock the Tuned to a Dead Channel achievement in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition - Definitive Guide

Despite What the Achievement says the White noise is not white but in fact purple.

To get this, During Class Trials when you are in a Nonstop Debate Purple lines of text will go by on screen or over the text you need to fire truth bullets at. This can not be done on the Gentle difficulty as white noise does not appear. Is best done on the Mean difficulty as more white noise will appear.

This achievement tracks over the whole game and not just 1 trial. So can be done some what easily if you just play through the game and shoot the white noise. If your trying to grind this out, I recommend Chapter 5 or 6 trials on Mean difficulty and not answer the Nonstop Debate and just keep shooting the white noise.

It's also worth noting that even on higher difficulty settings, white noise lines do not get introduced until the middle of the second trial. I was a little confused not seeing any purple text on trial one. I also had the game freeze at the end of a trial after shooting 50 or so white noise lines and after loading my save game I had lost all progress even though the achievement tracker did not reset (I had to reach 50 again for it to pick up where it left off). So if you wanna farm these, make sure to save your game to avoid losing progress.

FYI, the third non-stop debate in the 5th trial is perfect for this. Save at the beginning if in Story mode or use Chapter select. Without spoiling things, there's an 8-phrase non-stop debate about the time frame related to the case that contains 12 White Noise lines, and if you hit all the noise lines perfectly and quickly, you actually gain time and can do this loop almost infinitely until you unlock the achievement. If you do run out of time you can simply reload the save and fairly quickly return to this debate. 12 lines in about 20-25 seconds means it only takes about 20 minutes of grinding to get this from 0 at this spot.

How do you do Chapter Select from the main menu? I don't see that option...
Are you just talking about loading an old save from that chapter?

EDIT: Nvm, I'm a dumbdumb. All you have to do is load a save and it asks you if you want to chapter select.

I'm also sorry to report that both the game itself and the X-Box tracker do not always track your hits for this ach. I ended up having to get at least 92 extra and probaly more like 150, because of this. I was using the first truth bullet in trial 3 in which there are 6 white noise. I kept checking to see my progress and it wasn't showing any, so I figured X-Box was not picking it up. I had already been suspicious of this when I grinded the 100 count ach. I noticed it finally was tracking and it took a total of 492 more after starting to get this to pop, it should have only been 400. Once again great work Dev team.
